On draft for Hunahpu Day. Pours a light murky brown with a white head. Nose is crazy- first smell is graham crackers, second whiff is tartness with lactic vinegar and tart vinous fruit, third smell reveals a bit of the mutant ninja yeast. I am trying to picture what base beers they used, and I get this image of a "suicide"- where you used to pour many of every different soda into one cup. I think it’s got Guava Grove, Vuja De, Sea Bass, and similar funk with maybe some Maduro for support, and there are definite graham crackers and vanilla. The flavor is akin to a blend of these, but the body is SO damned light! I could drink this one by the gallon growler, it is so light in body, yet deep in flavor. One of the many standouts of Hunahpu Day 2011.

Appearance is pink yellow with a tiny white head. Smell is funky like white wine and unrippened strawberries with oranges. Taste is funked. With huge tart huge wet hay huge fruit great great beer.

Tap, RnH. Very murky bright rust orange with little to no head. Apples, mint, sour berries, bubblegum are all featured in both the flavor and aroma. Bit medicinal underneath the lacto sourness, with some currants, cherry, and a slight sweetness and mint. Medium body with subtler carbonation. Really odd, and something that I did not enoy all that much.

On tap at R N H. Pour is reddish-brown with an average white head. Aroma is all over the place with cherries and other lighter berries standing out, but definite notes of vinegar, vanilla, crackers, and yeast. Flavor is quite mellow when compared to the aroma and sort of light in the body. Vinegar and sour finish.

Draft at Rattle N’ Hum. Excited to try this beer. Pours a hazy amber with a nice white head. Aroma is very sour. Not much fruit going on in the taste. Juicy and straight up tart. Some minor flavors of graham crackers and sweet biscuit malts. Really good beer.

On tap at R’n’H. Pour is a reddish color. Nose is of a little vinegar and some sweet notes. Taste is very interesting, rather funky as the name would imply.

One of my favorites from CC Hunahpu 2011 - though it was late on in a long day of drinking. So sparse notes and a score on this one: awesome smooth berry tartness. vinegar funk and berries. dry tart finish. 8.0

Tap at Rattle n hum - ok, I don’t get the high ratings for this beer AT ALL! huge candy, sour tart, lots of fruit. Medicinal, cough syrup cherry, aromatic tarts. Tastes like warhead candy, but way more cloying. I thought it was pretty messy... maybe you can accuse me of being an anti-homer for counter-signalling purposes... whatever, I had a hard time getting through 12oz of this despite sharing it with two others.

Draft. Pours amber orange with a white head. Tart funky fruity aroma with a good dose of acetone. Similar flavor. Woody, cherry, and tart, but too much acetone to be enjoyable. Not that good.

UPDATED: FEB 18, 2014 Draft at rattle during the sours gone wild event. Pours thick, hazy amber orange with white lacing. Aroma is insane - sweet raspberries, bubblegum, and cotton candy. Mouthfeel is perfectly tart with notes of raspberries blueberries strawberry lemonade, watermelon and a short finish. Hands down the best sour I’ve sampled from Cigar City, and probably top 5 ever. I think I tried about 5 glasses of this throughout the event.
