Part of IPA day celebrations at CCB. Pours a hazy golden orange on tap with thin white head and light lacing. Aroma of cinnamon and apple, like an apple pie IPA. Taste is similar, apple and cinnamon out of the gate, with a clean guava sweetness in the finish. All of the fruit and spice covers up the hoppiness and bitter qualities of the Jai Alai, making it more of a novelty than something I would want to drink regularly. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - AUG 3, 2012
On draft at Cigar City for IPA Day. Pours a hazy orange-yellow with a white head. Nose is caramel and Celestial Seasonings- apple, cinnamon, sweet fruit, and a hint of nutmeg. Flavor is similar with little hops character- really a 7.5% cup of tea. There is potential here, but in a medium-bodied IPA, I am searching for more hops.
