Lucky to try this one, thanks Zack and Cam! Much different than Guava Grove.
A: Pours a bright pumpkin color with a small white cap. Retention is pretty good, nice lookin beer
S: Wow, here is where it picks up - bright ripe fruit (guava, lemon, citrus, and other tropical fruits). Juicy ripe fruit with a decent sweetness in the back. You can pick up on the tartness from the beginning.
T: Obviously this one is packed with guava. Solid lip puckering tartness followed by a natural fruit juice sweetness that balance each other out. Subtle Belgian yeast notes, slight sweetness. The finish is absolutely amazing though! It transitions from a relatively tart and indistinguishable flavor to a whole new beast of sweetness, ripe guava, and citrus. As another reviewer (and the person sampling this with me mentioned), the burp is ridiculous!
MF/O: Perfect carbonation, medium body to it. Tart and sugary guava finish.
Comparison to Guava Grove (first batch/non-funky version): this one has more fruit, more tartness, more guava flavor (obviously), and less flavors coming from the yeast. I prefer Groove to Grove Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - SEP 6, 2012
750ml bottle from smith4498, thanks Jason! Pours a cloudy, orange-amber colored body with a big, three finger-width, dense, foamy and frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is pretty fruity with lots of smooth guava (I guess?), tropical fruits, and florals. Somewhat grainy, bready pils malt backing with a light sweetness, a bit of a yeast spice and a light grassy note. Flavor is similar. Sweeter and fruity up front with a bunch of tropical fruits and this so-called guava. Some florals, a light yeast spice, and a bready pils malt backing. Finishes smooth, fruity, bready, and dry with a moderate bitterness and a hint of tartness before leaving a medium length aftertaste. Fairly full body and a lively carbonation. Overall, not a bad saison at all, but a bit too sweet and bready with a spicy bitterness that never seems to fully come together for me. Okay. Steve_0 (3745) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 10, 2012
Bottle at home shared with friends. Poured a golden orange with a two-finger bright white head. Aroma is funky, tropical, guave, grapefruit, passion fruit, and pineapple. Taste is lightly tart, fruity, light spice, biscuit, grass, clove, and a touch of banana. Full mouthfeel with fizzy carbonation. Fruit punch, mango and pineapple dominate this great summer beer. arminjewell (9670) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - AUG 10, 2012

Thanks to blutt59 for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours an orange color with a white head. The aroma has quite a bit of sweet guava in it, as well as some wheat, yeast and orange citrus notes. The flavor is very similar. The beer is very fruity with a lot of guava and apple notes. I also get some nice biscuit malt and Belgian yeast. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. blutt59 (6564) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 17, 2012

(750ml) cloudy medium pulpy orange, offwhite bubbles. Nose of guava, papaya, dry. Taste of passion fruit, guava, Belgian yeast, dry and medium carbonation. Fruity, good for a fruit beer.
Weicher, dezent herber Abgang. 9/11/9/12/12/11
