Bottle 750ml. @ [ Edinburgh Danish Invasion Tasting) by cgarvieuk - Edinburgh ].
Clear medium to dark yellow - amber orange colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, fruity, moderate to heavy yeasty, farmyard, fruity, white pepper - black pepper. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, fruity, peppery, guava - unriped mango. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Pours a gold/peach color with a paper thin head that disapates into a stable ring around my ccb snifter. Aroma is powerful, strong tropical fruit notes with grapefruit in the back. Taste follows the nose, funk and pepper added. Smooth in body, easy to drink and very refreshing. I already loved guava grove, guava groove takes that amazing saison to a whole new level. Bravo CCB!

Aroma: citrus fruit, guava, slightly musty, pepper and light spices. Pours a hazy dark orange color, white head with good retention, leaves decent lacing. Flavor is quite fruity, guava and green fruits, sour apple, some grapefruit, spicy pepper notes, yeast, light malts. Moderate bitterness, some spicy hop character. Fairly full body for a saison, medium-high carbonation. Nice brew. Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 7, 2012
In short: A full body and differently fruity rustic ale. Nice beer

How: Bottle 750ml, consumed when probably a few months after bottling. Bottle from that thing (human?) called GodOfThunder, thanks
The look: Cloudy glowing amber body topped by a medium off-white head with medium retention.
In long: Nose is has phenols, strong rustic character, unusual fruity aroma of unripe green fruits. Body is very very full but foamy enough and also with an extra-lively carbonation, so at the end this heavy body doesn’t feel heavy at all. I must I’ve never had a bite of guava by itself so I cannot say that the beer tasted like guava. To me this unusual fruitiness was a mix of sweet peaches, unripe green bananas and red ruby grapefruits. The rustic character of the Saison yeast was coming through nicely even if a little too phenolic for my taste. A medium sharp bitterness (guava? hops?) in the finish along with a mild acidity. Overall a fun beer, but one 750ml bottle was enough. I’m entering this rating on a Monday after a very boozy week-end… you heard about this line you’re not supposed to cross? That’s my starting line on Friday nights.
Sample from bottle. It pours cloudy amber, with a thin white head. The nose is fruit salad sweets, floral and tropical fruit - pineapple, orange, mango and guava. The taste is very fruity - orange, pineapple, guava, floral, dough, earth and a touch of spice. Medium body and moderate carbonation. An enjoyable fruity saison. Sample courtesy of Mr garvie, cheers Craig! Hazy pale amber with tart tropical fruits nose, with some yeast esters. Refreshing with juicy papaya, yeast spiciness and robust malt. Benjii (3050) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 22, 2012
In bottle. Pours a dark golden colour with a thin white head. A barnyard aroma with lemon, white pepper, mango and guava. Similar flavours with a fruity guava and starfruit quality before a dry saison yeast finish. Very highly carbonated with a foamy mouth-feel. Not bad. dantheman278 (1365) - SCOTLAND - APR 22, 2012
Bottle courtesy of cgarvieuk at the Danish Invasion tasting. Clear orangey gold colour with a thick frothy white head. Big saison funk, black pepper and yeast esters with a massive sharp fruitiness (guava?) also. Nice juicy tropical front, big grapefruit, dry yeastiness, sherbet fizz, ultra-dry, big juiciness and a touch of sour with a lovely, drying guava bitter finish. Far too fizzy, but still tasty. cgarvieuk (26365) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 22, 2012
bottle at The Danish Invasion tasting ... golden amber ... big bubbly white head ... soft light lemon saison nose ... over fizzy ... zezty herbal bitterness ... lemon ... orange peel ... nice but quite middling for my tastes
