bottle 11/25/11 black friday tasting. golden orange color with an off white head. surprising amount of guava on the nose.... mixed with black peppery spice, yeast, alcohol and something vegetal. the flavor is the same but with added notes of dried apricots, cardboard and a tart finish... something in here just doesn’t work for me.... it is a bit on the sweeter side but i can look past that...old bottle maybe? the carbonation is fizzy and proper. 6/4/5/3/13

The beer is sort of orange in color with a tall white head. A really nice fruitiness to the nose. Lots of banana and guava to be found. Pretty decent amount of yeast to it as well. Sweet malt (mostly bread) can also be found. There is a mild but noticeable acidity throughout the flavor. A touch of lemon to go along with banana and guava fruit notes. Sweet bread along with yeast and a touch of sugar to it as well. SphinxTX (2878) - Mata Gorda, Texas, USA - MAR 31, 2012
Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours pinkish orange with fizzy white head. Aroma has lots of citrus and farmhouse notes. Flavor has nice fruity/citrus esters with a nice pepper alcohol spiciness, with off-dry finish. Mouthfeel is light-medium body with high fizzy carbonation. Overall, tasty brew! Bottle thanks to mark. Poured an Orange color with a white head that laced the glass. Aroma was peach, citrus, Orange, and something else which may be guava. Flavor was caramel, Passion fruit, and guava. Body was light fuzzy and dry. Bigmmartin (620) - Dayton, Ohio, USA - MAR 29, 2012

Maybe it’s just me, but I guava is not a staple fruit in my regular diet. I’m not sure if I knew what guava tasted like before this beer. However, after sampling this beer, there is no longer any doubt in my mind as to what guava tastes like. This was extremely fruity, dominated by what I’m assuming is guava, with some addition spices, and yeast. Low sourness and acidity. Smooth texture and easy finish. A unique, refreshing beer.
Pours a beautiful hazy orange with two fingers of off-white head that settles to a half finger head that leaves nice lacing.
I defiantly get the guava in the nose, other tropical fruits too, pineapple, grape, a bit of citrus, lemon zest, I also am getting a little clove, coriander, some peppery notes, and sweet malty background.
Lots of interesting flavors here. I get more malt then in the nose but that sweet/tart guava still takes the foreground. As it is warming I am getting more sweet flavors, defiantly has some nice spicy flavors. There is a nice bitterness, I kind of miss the big sour flavor from the last batch of guava grove I tryed.
Lots of carbonation, still pretty creamy, very zesty, nice clean finish. KAggie97 (3529) - Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA - MAR 16, 2012
Bottle from drowland. Thanks Danny Boy! Pours a decent caramel orange with a nose of pilsner and light tropical fruit. Flavor is grassy and hoppy, with notes of light biscuit and tart fruit. Tingly but average on the tongue. Not bad. yobdoog (1888) - Kingston, New York, USA - MAR 15, 2012
Really glad this was brought back from Florida for me. Great bottle design, fun beer. Tons of fruit aroma and flavor with some yeast too. The saison aspect is more hidden here with tons of guava. Very sweet, a bit sticky, I guess its not really meant to be balanced though. A fun fruit beer that wasn’t overly cloying, still has a nice carbonation and beeryness to it :) jredmond (8839) - New York, New York, USA - MAR 12, 2012
Bottle shared with friends. Poured a hazy amber body with thin white lacing. Aroma is muted guava and a light tart. Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated with very light guava notes and the sourness is practically completely gone. My fear is that this particular bottle was spoiled, despite the fact that it was in no way "bad," it didn’t display any of the incredible attributes that the regular guava grove normally exhibits. I’ll have to quest for another bottle of this just to be certain. TheEpeeist (3709) - Media, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 8, 2012
25.4 oz bottle. Murky orange with tiny cascading bubbles and an ivory head, slow to settle. Nose is guava, key lime pie and candied grapefruit peel. Carb is vibrant but soft, creamy puree with a lingering tingle. Taste similar to the smell with guava then bitter citrus, honey, rind and sour peach. Perfect with some soft cheeses my daughter picked out.
