Wow too much guava. Aroma is flowers, guava, spices, and guava! Taste is a guava bomb with a saison back bone. I guess i should have expected this but wow this is "tubular" Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - FEB 4, 2012
UPDATED: FEB 5, 2012 Love me guava! Tons of huge guava flavoer with the bast Cigar city saison with a big Guava finish. Cool bro! Yea!!!!! madvike (3260) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 26, 2012
Bottle shared by nuplastikk...thanks Greg! - Pours hazy amber with a frothy off-white head. Lots of tropical frutiness on the nose that I can only assume is the guava. Lightly spiced, but the fruit is the star here. Tons of fruitiness in the taste too, really fruit forward that crests and then recedes into a light, malty fruitiness. 750ml bottle from the brewery, split with the Madison crew. Sort of odd funky pungence in the aroma. Murky orange-brown, big creamy off-white head. Lots of guava in the taste, more than the aroma. Fluffy malty backbone. Nice effervescence keeps it quite palatable. Enjoyable, unique, but maybe not quite world-class. otakuden (1783) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JAN 23, 2012
Appearance: creamy translucent peaches and oranges broken up by a steady stream of bubbles. Bready white head fades into a solid layer. Swirls creamy and bready.

Nose: tart and funky. Guava dominates while star fruit, cactus, coconut, and green bananas make their presence known along the sidelines. Musk and funk in the back with chamois and leather. Sour apricots.
Palate: soft, frothy, bready mouthfeel. Juicy guava and cactus in the middle and banana in the breath. Hawaiian rolls and guava. Coconut underneath – more milk than the whole coconut. Visions of azure waters, white beaches, and tropical paradise all around. More guava goodness accented now with aloe. Light and bubbly without being watery or distracting. Musky finish with brushed leather and chamois.
Final Thoughts: I haven’t had Guava Grove since its first release which was chunkalicious. Skip forward to Guava Groove which one Cigar City gent likened to Guava Grove on steroids. I’m not one for the drugs but I am all about the guava, lots of it. Yum!
Poured from 750, shared at a tasting. Cloudy golden-yellow color with darker off white head. Pleasant nose which was overpowering with the guava, sweet and dry to taste, lot of spice. Overall interesting to try. Gription79 (2891) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - JAN 12, 2012
750 ml bottle. I was expecting this to be a fruitier version of guava grove. It is nothing like guava grove. It is very fruity with a hint of saison yeast spice. Fairly sweet with a dry finish. There is a sharp/astringent grain flavor that I could do without, but overall an enjoyable fruity beer. illidurit (2340) - San Francisco, California, USA - JAN 3, 2012
Bottle shared at the December iteration of the Santa Cruz tasting series. Pours orange with a light tan head. Big fresh guava aroma with some lemon zest notes. Flavor is the same as the smell basically, big tropical guava with funk becoming more apparent as it breathes. MotherBrother (945) - Aalborg, DENMARK - DEC 31, 2011
Pour clear reddish, with a small white head.
Aroma is heavy of belgian yeast. Breadish, light fruity yeasty aroma.
Medium body, with a massive fizzy carb. paintedmaple (671) - People’s Republic of Bloomington, Indiana, USA - DEC 30, 2011
750ml bottle...big, bubbly, funky, fruity beer that was all Belgian although not quite Saison tasting. I really liked this brew, however Short’s Capt. Fantasy pear Saison blows this away...or maybe I just like pears better than guavas...
