Giant cell phones. White pantsuits. Reagonomics. The 80′s was all about excess. We tip our neon trilby hats to mentality with this beer. Not satisfied with the amount of guava in our Guava Grove saison, we doubled the amount of fruit in Guava Grove to create a truly radical beer fit for any dude or dudette. Totally tubular!

750ml bottle...big, bubbly, funky, fruity beer that was all Belgian although not quite Saison tasting. I really liked this brew, however Short’s Capt. Fantasy pear Saison blows this away...or maybe I just like pears better than guavas...

Bottle shared with Harrisoni post Borefts Beer Festival 3, Day 1. Very hazy amber beer, good bubbly white head. Light crispy palate. Seltzer minerals. Nice fresh tasting guava, a bit mild though. Semi dry finish. Nice enough!

Pours thick orange amber with a big creamy off white head. The aroma is malty with a lot of fruity notes from the guava. The flavor brings my palate big notes of Belgian yeast, like an abbey dubbel or sweeter saison with the sweet guava notes rounding out the brew. The body is pretty thick as well.

Lots of nice guava in the aroma but a very dry flavor with some fusel alcohol and harsh phenolics. Gets a little hard to drink in the finish.

750 thanks to markwise. Big tropical fruit saison. Tons of guava. This really outdoes Guava Grove. Sweetness is nice and fruit like. Very tasty.

Bottle shared with Mattyb83 pours cloudy amber/orange with a large khaki head. Not sure what Guava smells or tastes like but if it is the fruit aroma I’m unable to identify here, and I assume it is, I like it. Yeast and spices also present in the nose. Taste is fruit, most be the Guava, bready yeast, spice, with a mellow tartness. Yum!

Bottle. Cloudy, golden, apple cider color with a large white head. Quite an herbal aroma and some fruit character present. Tingles the nose each time I take this in. Taste is fruity, herbal, maybe a slight medicinal character. What the fuck does guava taste like? Is this it? It’s pretty good if it is. Much better flavor than the guava grove. I love prickly carbonation and this is pretty much perfect for that. Really enjoyable.

Cloudy gold pour at Black Friday tasting. Aroma is loaded with yeast, and loads of guava...I mean LOADS. And the flavor is just pure guava paste...and I love guava paste...hell yeah!

Big thanks to whoever cracked this at a Sam’s event earlier this fall. Wasn’t expecting to see this one lurking, but the crappy early 80s video game label is eye-catching. High score! I enjoyed the initial saison a good bit, but found this one to be ever so slightly over the top. Nice murky light orange pour, frothy head and sticky lacing. Nose is floral and fruity, almost to the point that it obscures the subtleties of the saison. Flavors are more balanced, and the earthy, at times spicy qualities come to the fore a bit. But there’s no denying that CCB accomplished its goals of bigness here, with an overpowering fruit that goes along fairly well with cereal, malts, a dollop of spice, and a hint of a dry finish.

750 ml bottle from tricyclist or MikeLuke23- got a bottle from both. Thanks, guys! Pours a hazy straw gold color with a small, soft off-white head. Aroma of farmhouse funk, oak, apricot, guava, peppery spice, sweet malts, herbs and citrus. Flavor of herbal hops, sweet malts, guava, candi sugar, lemon, oak, and a faint plastic note. Medium-bodied, with a funky, sweet mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Interesting take on this style. I like the regular Guava Grove a lot better and get more guava in that one, too.
