Giant cell phones. White pantsuits. Reagonomics. The 80′s was all about excess. We tip our neon trilby hats to mentality with this beer. Not satisfied with the amount of guava in our Guava Grove saison, we doubled the amount of fruit in Guava Grove to create a truly radical beer fit for any dude or dudette. Totally tubular!

Lots of nice guava in the aroma but a very dry flavor with some fusel alcohol and harsh phenolics. Gets a little hard to drink in the finish.

Bottiglia 75cl, comprata da astral beers e bevuta a casa. Ambrata con bella schiuma. Un incrocio fra una abazia e una birra alla frutta. Non memorabile

750 ml bottle. Aged for about 4 years or so. Pours a hazy golden orange color and topped with a thick layer of off white foam that slowly fades to a thin film. The aroma Is very fruit forward showing ample amounts of tart guava and sweet tropical fruit followed by the earthy, bready malts and spices from the base saison with the yeasty esters hanging out in the background. The flavor follows with the smooth guava and tartness up front followed by the sweet tropical fruit notes, spicy, bready malts, and some Belgian style yeast as well. There is some subtle bitterness in the background that rounds thing out. Probably more sweet than tart at this point. Medium bodied with prickly carbonation that leads to a lengthy, dry, guava fruit finish. Very interesting beer and one that has help up well over the years as well. Easily the most guava packed beer I’ve had. Good stuff.

2010 bottle. Pours clear amber with creamy white head. Aroma is heavy melon, bready malts, light floral notes, and faint spice. Flavor is melon, light tartness, dry malt profile, and soft hops. Light/medium body and fizzy carbonation.

Bottle: Poured a light reddish color ale with a large off-white head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of lightly sweet guava notes with some tart notes also noticeable. Taste is also dominated by light sweet juicy guava notes with light rat notes also noticeable. Body is full enough for style with good carbonation. This one packs a lot of drinkability for the style with not much acidity.

Flavour is tart and sour, lightly acidic, lots of tropical fruits, soft, a bit of wood. Sour mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long, sour, fruity. This is really nice. Love the tropical fruits in this, an excellent saison.
