COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Traditional throughout Latin America, the guayabera shirt combines style, functionality, form and tradition in it’s four-pocketed design. We at Cigar City feel the same reverence and appreciation for the guayabera that we do for the Citra hop varietal, an ingredient that imparts notes of tangerine, lime and berries to this traditional American Pale Ale. The exclusive use of Citra hops in this beer creates a flavor that’s at once unique and recognizable, while it’s dry, crisp character and moderate alcohol make it as refreshing and functional as a crisp linen guayabera.

Bov (13354) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - DEC 16, 2017
[email protected] Au Trappiste - very hazy blond-orange beer with a solid creamy foam left; peachy, almondy and marzipan aroma; light sticky palate; a good malt backbone, subtle carbonation; decently dry; peachy and persimmon-like finish; decently aromatic

[email protected], from Beer Republic. Refreshing, sturdy nuances of citrus, some mango and clear Citra hops. No malts detected. Balanced. Narrow/medium taste spectrum and long aftertaste with hoppy citrus and some malts. Medium/light body and medium carbonation. Overall, very refreshing and clear, though simple product.

Can shared at home. Hazy golden with a bit fluffy off white head. Tangerine, dank hops, caramel malts, sweet dried cranberries, orange peel, light vanilla cake, that cheap tropical mix juice, papaya. It’s over medium malty and fruit juice sweet and under medium bitter. Quite full bodied for the abv with light sugary touch. Quite nice though maybe a bit too old (almost 4 months).

Cigar City beer named after a type of shirt - I can imagine finding inspiration for your beer names can be a daunting task if you have produced many hundred different ones... Can at Kantien, Ghent, shared by Goedele, thanks dear! Cobweb-lacing, moussy, medium thick, egg-white head, misty, warm orange blonde robe. Aroma of raw garlic, green olives, fresh orange peel, biscuit, lightly toasted white bread, grapefruit juice, dried mango cubes, white pepper, pine resin. Fruity, clean and to the point in the mouth, hinting at dried apricot, raw pineapple and unripe banana, with early 'stings' of New World hoppiness present in the onset; spritzy carbo, biscuity and cereally maltiness, rounded and clean, underneath a long, aromatic, citrusy, bit piney and garlic-like hoppiness, providing elegant retronasal aromas and a spicy, albeit relatively mild bitterness on the root of the tongue. Nice like basically all Cigar City beers (at least the ones I had so far), perhaps a tad too hoppy for an APA and closer to an IPA, but frankly who cares about that distinction...
