Draft… My first beer at CCB’s Hunahpu’s Day 2012… Pitch black lager with a mid-sized, fluffy, off-white head. The aroma is very deeply roasted with plenty of luscious vanilla to more-than-satisfy the olfactory system within this vanilla loving fool. Medium-bodied with unassuming carbonation. The flavor is all about scorched malt and hop bitterness overlying far more subtle nuances of sweet honey and vanilla. Finishes crisp and moderately bitter. dimenhetfield (2486) - , Florida, USA - MAR 14, 2012
On draft at Cigar City Huna Day 2012. Took a sip from my buddies cup and quickly racked my brain for any type of comparison. Seemed very sweet and a tad sugary. Somewhat like a smore perhaps. Tasty for sure! markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - MAR 13, 2012
On draft at Hunahpu Day 2012. Pours a medium brown with an off-white head. Nose is slight earth, some honey, vanilla, and roast. Flavor is similar- the ash and vanilla do well, the honey is a bit off balance, but the vanilla and ash play together like siblings who’ve reached a truce. Light to medium in body. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAR 12, 2012
Black pour. Aroma reminds me of a smore with a honey note and a hint of smoke. Flavor is all smores! Nice stuff...yes beershine its GOOD! burg326 (5489) - Florida, USA - MAR 11, 2012
On draft poured a dark black color, aromas of vanilla, honey, smoke and roasted malt. Flavor is dominated with vanilla up front, some nice roast and a kiss of ash in the middle, followed with some nice sweet honey at the end. Extremely glad this was the first beer I got to try at Hunnuhpu day.
