COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed and fermented in Puerto Rico, dry-hopped exclusively with Simcoe hops in the shipping container back to Tampa where it was canned at Cigar City Brewing. The voyage truly makes this a Caribbean-style India Pale Ale.

Pours dark orange with a large white head. Smells of citrus and hints of toffee and caramel. Taste is juicy, bitter, and citrusy. Medium-bodied with a wet texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Cigar City Dry-Hopped on the High Seas finishes with a soft lingering bitterness.

Can. Orange pour with white head. Citrus rich hop aromas. Light grassy and floral hops with a good of amount of citrus.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2014 The aroma lulls you into a false sense of security because the beast is about to bite! The first hoppy sip will knock your socks off. Not sure whether my tongue went numb from there or the hoppiness was all in that first sip but the hops flavor almost completely disappears after that. Would’ve been nice if it was better balanced.

Can: Looks and smells good. Light orange in color, decent head. Nose of light fruity hops. Was expecting a little more out of the taste. Not really bitter, piney or fruity... Light fruits, not bitter at all... Taste is blahh... Medium body. Overall: A really forgettable brew......

#6 canned beer today from Eric, thanks buddy! Served yet again in my GI IPA tulip: Also yet again a deep golden hue with coppery highlight topped by a nice frothy white head and very good lace. The aroma is very fruity leaning towards the tropical side of the spectrum with mangoes, peach, star fruit esters along with faint dankness, herbal and even a touch of sugary toffee notes. The taste is equally fruity with an even handed bitterness versus malty sweetness. Dry and minerally finish that even tastes slightly like clean oak tannins. Overall I do dig this quite a bit even if a tad one note, displays the hop wonderfully.

I could not get enough of this beer when it was out a ten of citrus, hay and some light malt made this beer highly crushable. Glad they are doing more in this series, wish I could have more now!
