3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Por from 12 ounce can at home. Pours an orange gold with white head. Smells and tastes of tropical fruit, caramel malt, and grapefruit peel. Overall nice taste with a nice appearance.
Pours a slightly hazy, bright golden orange color with tangerine edges and a one finger frothy white head that very slowly settles into a lasting ring. Nice retention with streaks of soapy lacing coating the glass on the way down. Looks great!
Floral, earthy hop aroma with grassy pine and resinous oils followed by subtle tropical fruit notes and a pale malt backbone. Pine needle, flower petal and dank buds along with a subtle onion/summit presence. Faint fruit sweetness with some grapefruit and pineapple. Pale malts with lots of bread and biscuit as well as some grainy cracker-y character.
On the lighter end of medium body with a blast of dry, sticky hop bitterness than lingers throughout over the pale malt backbone into a dry finish. The hop presence is somewhat one dimensional with dank, grassy bitterness that’s very earthy/soily with lots of pine needle flavor. The tropical/citrus fruit character was faint in the nose and is even more subtle in the flavor. Just a bit of sweetness coming in for balance but it could use a bit more. Pale malt backbone balances things out with lots of bread, biscuit, graham cracker and subtle light fruit notes. The ABV is nearly invisible with only slight boozy sweetness in the finish, making it pretty easy to drink. The mouthfeel falls off a bit mid-palate and finishes slightly watery/thin. A decent drinkable IPA with some nice flavor but doesn’t really stand out from other options. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JUN 26, 2015
(12oz can) Pours a clear golden body with a medium white head. Aroma of grass, pine, resin, and florals. Flavor of pine, grass, florals, biscuit, and caramel with a dry, bitter finish. rumproasts (5359) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JAN 24, 2015
can. deep golden with one finger head. can’t really go wrong with a simcoe ipa. not terribly unique but a solid beer with a good mix of citrus and pine. Beerdedone (3408) - Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 13, 2014

På burk @ Monks. Gylly färg. Doftar svagt av gräs. Smakar kryddigt och ett häng av beska.

Wasnt too excited about this one. Had this one right after the flagship, and i notably liked the other better. Dry and not much of a huge flavor profile for me. Voodoo (667) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 18, 2014
Pours a hazy deep golden color with a healthy white head which disassembles oddly. First time I’ve ever seen lumpy head. Aroma is sweet, slight corn, malt tones. Taste is grainy bitter, little hop taste, malt and bitterness, slight earthiness. If you are a hophead this one is a pass. Very much a British style IPA. Tap pour. Clean whiskey color in glass. Small nose. Mild gym sock. Tropical fruit. Maybe I let this sit too long before taking notes. Not a lot else going on. Taste is dry. Dry cracker malts offset with melon. Sine tangerine brightness. Drinkable, but underwhelming. bth122 (1563) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 21, 2014
Draft. Dark Golden. Aroma of floral hops. Dry bitterness. Bitter finish. Slight mint. Smooth. Average.
