Poured a darker yellow color with aromas of light citrus, cedar, and some spice. Flavors were light pepper, spicy cedar, some light fruit. Not the best humidor beer I’ve had from them, but ok. Mat42m (160) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - JUL 28, 2012
Tropical woodsy smell. Citrus taste. Sort of spicy finish. Not much hippy finish. Sort if lingers. Pretty good and definitely easy to drink adam42381 (386) - Fort Myers, Florida, USA - JUL 17, 2012
Review from notes taken at Cigar City Brewing taproom on 7/15/12. Poured on draft into a Cigar City shaker pint glass.
Appearance: Pours a hazy medium honey gold with a 1/2 finger snow white head. Nice lacing.
Smell: Cedar and white pepper with a touch of bitter hops.
Taste: Lots of white pepper with cedar notes, a touch of lemon and a mild amount of traditional American pale ale hoppiness. Aftertaste is woody and slightly bitter. Very well-balanced.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied with a good amount of carbonation.
Drinkability: Good drinkability. You could knock back a few without much difficulty.
Overall: Very good beer overall. I’m a fan of Cigar City’s Humidor Series and this one does not disappoint. It’s a nice change of pace compared to the regular Riverwalk Pale Ale which is very good. Definitely worth a shot. OmegaX (1375) - Florida, USA - JUL 15, 2012
On tap at CCB. Nose is citrus and smooth cedar notes. It’s like wood chips and orange juice with floral hops. Nice. Pour is hazy orange with a slightly off-white head. There is a nice amount of cedar in this one that evens this one out. The citrus and floral elements mixed nicely with the woody tones. I enjoyed this one much more than the regular riverwalk (which is still nice).
