Growler, courtesy cmillward. The pour yields a lightly hazy, dark chestnut brown body that is crowned with a small, frothy, bubbly head of tan foam. Hard drying spots of lacing cling to the glass in a scattered pattern. The aroma is fantastic, notes of caramel, cocoa, and toasted nuts showing a massively oily, peppery cedar wood overtone. I didn’t think the cedar would compliment the nutty caramel malt base, but boy was I wrong. Flavors follow suit, again big, malty, and rich, with hints of cocoa roast and those smooth, peppery cedar oils. There’s a hint of citrus in there, almost like cocoa that’s been kissed with a touch of bitter orange peel. The palate is substantial and velvety smooth, initially round and transitioning to a semi-dry, peppery finish. Damn good stuff. This is definitely one of my favorite Bolita treatments. Growler. Poured dark brown with ruby edges and a thin tan head. Nose is dominated by cedar with some note of cocoa, coffee, and roast. Medium body with a velvety mouthfeel. Flavor is spicy and malty, lots of cedar notes are present as well as come chocolate, toffee, coffee, and an overall nuttiness. I definitely picked up a lot more cedar in this than the Humidor Jai Alai. Finishes with mild bitterness. Good! dchmela (3064) - Orlando, Florida, USA - OCT 17, 2009
Growler picked up at the brewery. Pours a nice deep brown with a thick tan head. Creamy lacing with a thin to medium body. Chocolate, roasted grain and spicy cedar aroma. Nice blend of spicy and sweet. Spicy cedar taste with chocolate, coffee, toffee and sweet malt. Finishes with a little bitterness. A superb blending of flavors, nothing overdone and everything complimentary. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - OCT 16, 2009
Growler. Brown pour with a big cedar and coffee aroma. Flavor continues with roated malt, cedar wood and coffee. This beer has a nice mouthfeel as do most CCB offerings. redlight (2318) - Orlando, Florida, USA - OCT 15, 2009
thanks to godofthunder for bringing in a growler of this! Aroma strong with spicy cedar with chocolate and creamy coffee. Pours dark brown with little to no head. Very spicy cedar flavors, peppery with hints of caramel in the background also traces of chocolate. Not bad.

Courtesy GoT. Brown/dark ruby. Off white carbonation. Cedar really shines through in this one, plays off the toasty elements very well. Nice dryness to the flavor. Medium/full body, moderate carbonation. Teege (375) - Orlando, Florida, USA - OCT 15, 2009
Growler provided by GodofThunder. Pours a dark translucent brown. The aroma is quite nice lots of cedar up front, but hints of tobacco and roasted nuts. Notes of nut, tobacco, and baker’s chocolate in the flavor. Very smooth. kiefdog (1826) - Tampa, Florida, USA - OCT 12, 2009
Growler from the brewery. Pours a very dark cola brown with reddish highlights at the edge of the glass and thin off-white head that settles slowly and laces the glass. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of pine, cedar, nuts, caramel, light roast, some hints of toffee, coffee, ripe dark fruit. Flavor is sweet and spicy with notes of fresh cut wood, cedar, pepper, caramel, coffee, light notes of toffee. Generally medium body with a spicy malt finish. Definitely an interesting treatment of Bolita. gkost (1069) - Alaska, USA - OCT 11, 2009
Growler. Pours a deep brown. Nose is cocoa, hints of coffee, roasted grain, some mild dark fruit, hints of bubblegum and cedar. As it warms I get hints of spirits. Near Bourbon-ish notes. Flavor is a rich roasted malt, sweet fruity tones, dry cedar, earth, nuttiness, cocoa, leather. Mouth feel is very full, near chewy. Finishes very dry. Cedar really compliments this beer. The best of the Humidor series so far and better than regular Bolita.
