32oz growler thanks to hopscotch. Pours a nice slightly amber orange with thick off-white head, sticks around for a while and lots of lacing. Aroma strong of flowers and flower scents, especially lavendar, a bit of citrus and pine, and good malt backbone. Flavor, I felt like I just got my mouth washed out with soap for cussing, wow. I know many people will like this and its quite original and complex, but just not my thing. Complete drain pour for me, but I rated it higher based on my knowledge that it is better than my tastes. Aroma: Big IPA aroma with a strong floral aroma also included.
Appearance: Dark Yellow in color, Clear with a thin head.
Flavor: Big IPA flavor this was excellent IPA. The strong floral and cedar was present for sure. Enjoyed the every changing flavor as this beer warmed up.
Palate: Dry IPA finish, with a Good Mouthfeel.
Overall: Huge floral flavor and aroma this was a beer with tons of things going on. The cedar was strong the floral also came out. WOW my first Cigar City beer.
32 oz mini-growler. Misty orange brown with a brief white head. Nose is orange, pine and caramel with hints of lavender. Medium light with moderate carb. Taste like the nose with bitter flower petals and cedar. I’m really liking the cedar aging on these. Adds a nice spiciness that compliments the hops but doesn’t overwhelm. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JUN 28, 2009
On tap at CCB. Amber color. Man the herbs, hops, flowers and some malt. Wow. Flavor is citrus, herbs, pine, wood, and just quite the experience. Wow. Good stuff. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - JUN 28, 2009
32-oz medicine bottle growler, served by the fine--and delightfully surprising--generosity of IBrew2or3. Thanks, Dave! This was an awesome treat. Poursa hazy medium amber with caramel highlights and a dense, creamy, tannish layer of foam. Big floral nose--hibiscus, maybe? Creamy medium body, almost sticky. Beautiful caramel/pine/floral mid-palate. Long resiny finish. Lots of splashy personality with this one, showcasing the specialty ingredient(s) well.

Growler from beerlando. Cheers, Bryan! Amber with a billowing taupe head. Catty. Cotton candy/circus peanuts. Lemon Pledge. Malted milk (in a good way). Delicate floral tones - that is tones of a delicate flower but definitely not subtle. Quenching up front. Dry on the back end. Sticky lips. Warming. Continues to evolve on palate. Wood. Citrus. Caramel apple. Biscuit. Fantastic balance of a first-class IPA. And I apparently enjoy a good IPA. thejon375 (414) - Tampa, Florida, USA - JUN 26, 2009
Growler at Cigar City Brewery. Pours amber with medium white head. Aromas of an herb garden. Flavors of bitter heather, lavender and hints of basil and rosemary. Very interesting and should be given a shot by all. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - JUN 26, 2009
Growler from the brewery. Pours orange brown with almost nonexistent khaki head. Nose is citrusy and spicy all at once. I get cedar, citrus, jasmine, and lots of lemon. The jasmine makes it very floral overall (duh). Flavor is piney, citrusy, and floral. I get a white grapefruit/ lemon bite with astringency on the back of my tongue. Body is somewhat thin, but the beer is certainly full-flavored. This beer SCREAMS to be enojoyed with Thai food. Spending time with this beer is necessary- like an intelligent woman, it gives up its secrets a little at a time. Very good IPA. gkost (1069) - Alaska, USA - JUN 25, 2009
Thanks Kiefdog for hooking me up with the growler. Pours a orange copper. Nose is sweet citrus hops, some lavender and hints of other floral notes (heather i guess) and caramel. Flavor is a smooth flowery mix of hops and sweet caramel. Almost a hint of the bitter flower petals that moves away from the bitter end and towards the sweet hop character and pineapple. Finishes very bitter. Another amazing offering from CCB! hopscotch (11175) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUN 25, 2009
Growler… Hazy amber ale with orange highlights and a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The nose is chock full of English lavender alongside lesser notes of cedar, heather and toffee malts. I’m a lavender and malt guy. My wife is into heather and hops. The aroma on this one left us both speechless. Medium to full-bodied with moderate carbonation. The flavor is medium bitter, moderately sweet and mildly herbal. The lavender quiets down here while the toffee malts and earthy hops take a step forward. Lengthy, bitter, woodsy finish.
