A: Deep Brown/Ruby Hue, Passes No Light, Off White Head, Great Lacing
S: Rye, Oatmeal, Chocolate, Mild Coffee
T: Oatmeal, Rye, Chocolate, Boozy
M: Decent Carbonation, Medium to Full Bodied, Chocolatey, Bitter
Overall, there is a definite complexity to this beer but might be too much going on. I had this on white oak at the brewery and it took the boozy edge off of it. fluffy (2472) - St Petersburg, Florida, USA - SEP 1, 2013
going with this as the regular Improvisacion, as the labels have changed and the description too. i think this is from ’10 or ’11, not sure though. was worried it was infected, but turned out fine. kennydiaz (358) - Manahawkin, New Jersey, USA - MAY 20, 2013

Dark brown in color, with a thin tan head. Nice Dark roast and hops aroma. The malt was thick with flavor and the cedar flavor comes out nicely. A very nice easy drinking brew. blipp (9590) - La Mesa, California, USA - MAY 2, 2011
Cask. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Light roasty aroma with woody notes and a hint of hops. The flavor i clean and pretty well balanced, with woody notes, light floral hoppy notes, and light roasted malts. Nice. Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - MAR 31, 2011
Cask at Rattle N Hum as the Cherry Wood Improvisacion at 9%. Pours a bruin body with a ring of off white head. Light cherry and wood tones. Dry and woody body with a hint of sawdust like wood character. Bread y and oatmeal body with a light cherry sweetness with a very light warming. A nice offering indeed. On Firkin tap at Brandon Mellow Mushroom pouring ruby hued mahogany with tiny weak tan head. It has a pretty full cedar wood aroma with hints of the sweet, spicy rye and citrus down below coming from the base beer. The taste is full up cedar that covers over most of the tasty base beer notes such as various citrus, some spicy rye, dashes of roasted malts, faint resiny hops and just detectable malt like sweetness. The robust cedar notes linger long into the after taste. If you enjoy wood/cedar forward brews then this is for you. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - JAN 14, 2011
On cask at Mellow Mushroom Brandon. Pours a drak red-brown with a small off-white head. Nose is cedar, rye, malt, pine, cedar, cedar, and spice. Flavor is lots of cedar with rye, malt, spice, and pine. Spicy and woody with a smooth mouthfeel and light carbonation. Very nice, enjoyable beer.
