Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a thin lazing white head. The aroma is very spicy - ginger and cardemomme, combined with notes of cedar wood and fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of cedar wood, spices - ginger and cardemomme, oranges, on a malty back ground, leading to a dry spicy finish where the cedar wood note lingers. joergen (28146) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 14, 2009

Hazy orangeish brown colour with small off-white head. Aroma is fruits, lots of tobacco, some mild spices and mild wood. Flavour is cedar, some bitter fruity notes as well as mild herbal notes. One very pleasant IPA indeed.
Bottled, thanks baggio! Cloudy amber, creamy head. Rich cedar and grapefruit aroma. Mid-sweet with solid, vital malt. The combination o cedar and grapefruit is superb, the bitterness is evident, but nothing is ever assaulting - only relaxed yet concentrated. I’m so glad someone picked up this Japanese concept - especially someone as talented as Cigar City. This is probably the tastiest IPA I’ve ever had! Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Retorp. Clear deep golden with a lacing off-white head. Extremely spicy, citrusy hop aroma. Medium body, some citrusy fruitiness, extremely peppery end enticingly spicy - must be the cedar. Dry, hoppy and bitter finish. Very interesting. 130909 Travlr (24826) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - MAY 25, 2010

Hazy amber beer. Light frothy off white head. Palate is just a little soft. Remarkably fresh grapefruit underpinned by a little fresh orange. The cedar imparts richness and takes the edge of the hop bitterness. Finishes soft with rich grapefruit. Very nice!
