Tap at Rattle n’ Hum. Deep amber pour. Aroma is of smooth cigar smoke, roasted almonds, and dark chocolate. Flavor starts out immediately with red pepper, followed by oak, smoke, and chocolate malt. There’s a strong cedar presence at the end. The finish is spicy with a bit of a sharp mouthfeel. I kept coming back to the word "sharp." A spicier version of the Maduro Oatmeal Brown. tgncc (3145) - Bellmore, New York, USA - FEB 18, 2010
Aroma is cedar, some nutty aromas. The appearance is clear red/brown, off-white head. The flavor is cedar, chocolate malts, oats. The finish has a wood/cedar quality, slight bittering. Medium body. Good beer. Cedar really has a strong effect on a beer. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - FEB 13, 2010
750 ml from smith4884. Pours a nice murky brown, some light shines through with a small offwhite head that dies to a film and laces ok. Aromas are heavy cedar wood, a touch of vanilla and pepper, caramel and a touch of brown sugar, sweet with the cedar really taking precedence. Initial is lighter bodied, caramel and brown sugar with a touch of coffee, vanilla, cocoa, a touch chalky and more coffee. Dry spicy cedar comes in fairly potent, changes the game and changes the base significantly. Dry, not too sweet, with bitter roast and coffee. Finish is dry, with sweetness lingering in. Very nice. Almost a little funky on the nose, a bit briney almost on the nose. pantanap (3367) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 13, 2010
750ml bottle from Adam... Appearance is cloudy dark caramel with reddish tints and a creamy very light beige head... Spicy wood and cedar all the way with a little pepper... Flavors are of a thin brown ale with less aggressive cedar spiral notes. Somewhat lively mouthfeel and thin bodied. drewbeerme (3921) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 13, 2010
Thanks Adam! Pours brown with off white head. Nose cedar wood, and caramel. Flavors cedar, cracked pepper, caramel, and cookie. Wow cedar takes over this thing. Thin body, low carbonation.

Bottle @ cgarvieuk. Amber-ruby red colour, tan head. Aroma is a bit smokey, with black pepper. Flavour of roasted malts, black pepper, sour and malty. fiver29 (1112) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - FEB 6, 2010
Bottle shared my Mike. Thanks Mike! Pours brown color with tan head. Aroma was very strong cedar and really nothing else. Medium mouthfeel. It tasted like a nice brown ale after I licked a cedar box. The cedar is just way too over the top in this brew. At least now I know what cedar tastes like and I question if the other humidor brew I tried from this brewer wasn’t mislabeled. cgarvieuk (25992) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 6, 2010

750ml capped from suzygreenberg. Light clear rootbeer brown with small but tight tanish white head. Nose is great, I you like smelling a cigar box...which I do; other than that not much else maybe a touch of nuttiness. Flavor is a bit of a let down with the cedar coming out albiet somewhat thin with the base being weak really. Not bad, not great just good use of cedar.
