Hand bottle. Cheers Dave! Hazy dark red - brown beer, good caramel coloured head. Toffee and wood on the nose. Smooth and softish palate. Complex flavour profile - starts with toffee and a little treacle. Followed by aniseed and spice and sweetish red berry fruits and a whisper of orange. Finishes with a strong sweet and sour cedar wood. Sourish toffee and aniseed in the aftertaste. Pretty good stuff, the cedar shines through.
750ml bottle. Pours a dark mahogany brown color with a one finger frothy off-white head that quickly fades into a lasting ring. Spotty lacing left behind. Earthy hops up front in the nose with hints of pine and citrus rind, along with rich caramel and chocolate malt with a slight roasted character. Very hop forward flavor with a lot of earthy dry pine and citrus notes. Hints of lemon peel and grapefruit mostly. The middle brings a sweet malt profile with hints of caramel, toffee and subtle chocolate. Slightly vinous with hints of dark fruit, mostly grape, plum and raisin. Creamy and smooth. Average carbonation, heavy body.

Cedar spice on top of candied grapefruit and caramelly sweetness. Somewhat mellowed out and peppery, still boozy as shit but less so than the warmer winter. Tangy. Brighter amber pour witha beige ring of foam. Big spicy cedar with candied citrus, earth, pepper and wood. Significantly better than the standard. Touch of tart, way less boozy.

Picked this up in a trade; really quite tasty. Bottle pour. Nose is sweet malt. Red/brown color. Taste is very malty with some molasses, with some heat after. Very thick and foamy. Delicious.
