2027 bottle to glass. Nose is huge cinnamon. Light booze and vanilla. Taste is lightly spiced with a ton of coconut (what?) and awesomeness truly amazing. Seriously. The pepper and cinnamon are in perfect balance and the bourbon is just amazing. Likely the best hunahpu I have ever had ctipping (2201) - Florida, USA - JUN 17, 2017
750 mL bottle. Originally reviewed 5/25/2013.
Viscous inky black. Stains the glass. Nice mocha head.
Nose is still surpringly peppery, though not a distinct type of pepperiness. Chocolate. Light bourbon. Vanilla. Not a ton of barrel.
Tastes of chocolate and then immediately peppery. Alcoholic. Some cinnamon. Lots of chocolate. The bourbon is faint. Some oak in the back.
Absurdly thick. Dry and oaky in the finish. Boozy. Extremely slow drinking.
Gets much more oaky as it warms. Some of the more abrasive characteristics have come out, but all of the complexity of Hunahpu is still there. Klimaet (2958) - Aarhus N, DENMARK - APR 16, 2017
Bottle split on day 2 of Coconut/Cinnamon Death 2017. Pours pitch black with a small dark dense brown head. Aromas of cinnamon, vanilla, fudge, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, chili, dry tobacco, licorice. Yuhhhhsss. Taste has lots of cinnamon, vanilla, fudge, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, chili fruit, roasty malt, licorice, some coffee-like peppery notes. Damn this held up well. Galaxies better than AB. Bottle sample (massive thanks to Tad & co 14/04/2017) - black pour with a thin tanned head. Sweet and medium roasted malty with big notes of chocolate and caramel, some treacle and fudge notes coming in, opulent thick mouthfeel, nice medley of spices creating some heat on the palate, deep resonating bourbon soaked wooden notes, light coconut and vanilla accents into the finish. Gorgeous. GlasgowTAD (1874) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - APR 14, 2017

Aroma is caramel, fudge, cocoa, oak, bourbon, a little bit of sherry oxidisation. Taste is cocoa bitter, cinnamon spice, a little bit of chilli, oak, slightly roasty, liquorice, vanilla oak. Full body with a thick mouthfeel.

2015 BA on Tap at Oskar Blues in Longmont, CO on 4/7/17 for a special CANspiracy event. Jet black (thick) with tan head. Aroma is chocolate and cinnamon with hints of bourbon. Taste is thick rich chocolate with hints of cinnamon, chocolate, vanilla and heat from the peppers with a bourbon cinnamon chocolate finish. Excellent! Mortlach (2490) - Rome, ITALY - JAN 16, 2017
Corpo pieno, carbonazione medio-leggera. Confusa e grezza, ma lascia il segno. madmitch76 (25321) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 21, 2016

That’ll be me 20K then @ ChrisO’s. Opaque dark brown beer, good dark tan head. Palate is soft and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Rich dark malts but quite light on it’s toes. Nice dark chocolate streak. Sweetish coconut. The bourbon is a little raw and spicy. Finishes light and semi dry with a touch of molasses.

Bottle share at Ken’s 20k tasting. Thanks to Ken himself for this whale. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate and a little soy. Tastes of coconut, coffee, booze and like wandering in the drawing room of a stately home and licking a weighty tome on the mantelpiece. Hides the booze well. Lovely.
