Taste. Rum raisin ice cream and tobacco. Spicy hops. Rich chocolaty malt, cocoa, and the perfect touch of booze and wood.

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2011 On tap at cigar city pours dark black with no head, and no lacing. Really good porter with tastes of chocolate, coffee, lactose and had a really good rum aroma and aftertaste that lingered on the palate.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Another big ass brew from Cigar City. Nose is pure chocolate, rum, candy, and rum. LOTS OF RUM. Poured black with little to no head or lacing. Taste was nice and sweet. Full of lactose, rum, prune, and alcohol. Intensely sweet and enjoyable. I could enjoy a glass of this everyday.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
On tap @ CCB. Pours a nice dark body, with a neat thick head. The aroma is pure rum, very spicy and rich in citrus notes with a hint of smokiness. The flavor is again, full of rum, but with a rich bitter dark chocolate undertone that envelopes the palate in a full hoppy (and chocolatey) flavor. Fantastic.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On draft at CCB. Pours a dark brown with a big off-white head. Nose is rum, vanilla, raisins, malt, some chocolate, and a bit of fruit. Flavor is similar with the rum and raisins in the front, the chocolate, malt, and vague fruit in the mid, and some sweet raisins and a hint of booze in the finish. The rum runs over some of the lactose and milk qualities of the milk porter- more a rum barrel beer than a milk porter. Still very enjoyable on its own merit. All in all a winner from the barrel program. Not a hint that this beer might be over 6-7% ABV.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Keg at Woodshop 6. Pours with a pitch black pour. with a small tan head. Aromas of bourbon (or oak), brown sugar, vanilla, chocolate, lactose and dark fruits. Flavors mimic the aroma. Muscavado, lactose, chocolate (bitter and milk), vanilla, rum, oak. Medium bubbles and mouthcoating. Very tasty. I know it is a completely different type of beer, but I might have enjoyed this more than Final Push.
