So, what you have here is a high gravity porter brewed with lactose and aged in whiskey barrels. It tastes like catching your favorite song on the radio with hints of the parking meter expiring, but not getting a ticket. It’s good.

Sample from Nate at world of beer - tampa palms. Pours a deep brown with a small dark cream head. Aroma is boozy, whiskey, caramel. Flavor is strong booze, but it mixes well with the roasted malt flavor. Caramel sweetness, or burnt sugar is also noticed in there. The body is a good medium with a nice mouth feel. Over all, I always enjoy this one, whenever I have a chance

bottled. dark brown with a red gleam. fluffy brown head. aroma of roast, caramel, vague smoke, chocolate, vague spice. smooth. flavour of roast, sweetness, light liqourice, caramel, brown sugar, light whiskey barrel touch. Nice. Medium to full bodied. ends on a light roasted and sweetish bitterness. Smooth and easy to drink. Nice.

Bottle. Trade from Hopscotch. Pours pitch black with a creamy tan head. The aroma is light smoke, vanilla, roasted malt, cocoa, ripe fruit, tobacco and has a light tone of lactose. The flavour is raisins, cocoa, sweet tobacco, roasted malt, vanilla and wood. It has a nice dry woody feeling. Very nice balance overall. Great!

Thanks to some kind folks at Darkness Day
Pours basically black with a good head leaving good lacing on the glass.

The aroma is lots of dark chocolate, some booze, some burnt toast and a good dosing of fruitiness (both yeast and hop driven)

The flavor is very chocolaty and fairly bitter & roasty. The beer shows it’s strength the alcohol and roast are really more dominant than the sweetness here, which is fine by me.... but I expected this to be far sweeter than it is.
And thats the story of my first ever Cigar City beer.

750 ml bottle via trade with smith4498 - Pours a dark brown color with a one finger thick tan head. Very light lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, dark esters, chocolate, oak/whiskey, and light vanilla. Flavor is dark esters, chocolate, oak/whiskey, and light vanilla. The oak and whiskey lingers in the finish. Full body. A really good beer. Thanks Jason.

Dark brown color with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of vanilla, roasted malts, some smoke, whiskey, a bit of cocoa, and some alcohol. Taste of roast, sweet cocoa, vanilla, burnt wood, more whiskey, and light alcohol in the finish.

Damico (3150) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 15, 2011
It pours dark chocolate chestnut with a dark tan head. The aroma is light sweet lactose easy in the nose. It has light and roasted malt flavors with small notes of the whiskey battels that settle easy in the nose.
