12oz. can from Cable Beverage. Canned 3/14/17. Pours a nice "thick" looking orange with a 1/2" of off white head and a few floaties. Minor lace. Citrus aroma with secondary biscuits w/butter and honey. As the back of the can says, the oak aging does mellow out the hops and the hop bitterness is more "restrained". All true. Still plenty of hops, but with the edges rounded off. Medium bodied with a bitter, dry finish. Nice!

At Walts in Sarasota. Poured as just "jai alai ipa". Soft delicate Upfront pine hops that finishes long and delicate. A very easy to drink ipa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

I am not a hop head, so IPAs are usually not my thing, but after trying this one, we’ve actually made two batches of clone beer in our own oak barrels as Cigar City isn’t available in AZ. This is the perfect beer, just the right amount of hops, the oak smoothes it out, the aftertaste is perfect. I could drink gallons of this in one sitting.

Draft… Lightly hazed, dirty orange ale with a small, wispy, white head. The nose furnishes earthy, white peppery, musky hops intermingled with suggestions of toasted oak and tangerine peel. Full-bodied with a whole-milk mouthfeel and jazzy carbonation. The flavor is like untreated Jai Alai except the bitterness and alcohol are a bit diminished and there is a whisper of toasted oak. Lightly bitter, abrasive, bone-dry finish.
