On draft at Cigar City, that poured a hazy yellow/orange color. Aromas of hops, orange peel, lemon and tropical fruit. Flavor is majority hops, but was followed by a ton of lemon flavor. Witch balanced out the hops nicely, and I hope that they do this beer again soon. dchmela (3064) - Orlando, Florida, USA - NOV 5, 2011
On tap in the tasting room. Pours a hazy dark yellow with thin off white head. Huge tropical, mango, citrus hop aroma as well as lemon. Big bitter hop bite with lots of tropical fruit and lemon notes. Just a damn good beer. CaptK (1) - Florida, USA - AUG 6, 2011 does not count
The Limoncello, that made this a distictive brew, both added and took-away from the typical CC Jai-Lai. In one sense, the lemon accent added a sweet citral profile that was totally different than any note provided by a hop varital. On the other side, the sweet lemon seemed to somehow dampen the overall bitterness typical in such a hoppy beer. But in a good way so the beverage was clean and thirst-quenching.
In the end, this was a beautiful and unique IPA that was unlike any I had ever tasted. It will be missed. MickRocks (1) - sarasota, Florida, USA - AUG 5, 2011 does not count
Had the pleasure of hanging with the Brewer, Joe, at Mr Beerys in Sarasota. Went through 3 kegs of this beer in WELL under 2 hours! Was LUCKY to have grabbed 1 pint as patrons were gobbling it up!
It pours a deceptively light color...making one think they were in for a "lighter-bodied" beer. Not the case. This beer has many personalities...and the warmer it gets...the feistier the ITALIAN in it gets!
The nose is classic hops with a hint of something I couldn’t put my finger on, but enticed me to dig deeper. Had to take a few more whiffs. Still clueless.
The start to this brew was an IPA lovers expectation. Hops...a tad more hops...and some more Hops. BUT wait...somehow a little lemon and some herbs found their way to my palate and made things a bit more interesting! I guess the smell I couldn’t figure was a spice rack in an Italian Deli! Well done...it is , after all, an Italian Pale Ale!
I feel as if I could drink a lot of this IPA...BUT...BUYER BEWARE...its 7.5%...and you’d NEVER know it. But you only live once!
Patiently waiting for another pint....PLEASE!

aka Limoncello IPA. On draft at Cigar City. Pours a hazy yellow with orange highlights and a small white head. Nose is lemon, lemon zest, orange, orange peel, tropical fruit, some booze, and some tart light fruit. Flavor is similar with lots of lemon qualities. If these are Sorachi Ace hops, then I will change my opinion on them. As it warms more bitterness comes out and the sweetness tones down. Sweet and somewhat tart. Very nice, medium-bodied IPA.
