(Draught) Pours a cloudy golden body with a medium white head. Aroma of horseblanket, herbs, pineapple, guava, and citrus. Flavor of citrus, brett, guava, herbs, and grass. Beerlando (3342) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAR 23, 2010
Draft at the brewery. OK, I love Guava Grove, and I love Jolly Pumpkin, so this one had me salivating from the moment I heard about it. Pours about as cloudy as they come, showing an orange-gold amber hue. A thin, wispy patch of beige foam sits at the head. A thin wash mostly rejoins the body, though a few micro-spots do manage to remain behind on the glass. Immediately, the Jolly Pumpkin yeast funk reaches up and grabs the nose, imparting its signature dry, bretty wildness into an already pretty wild base character. Besides the woody brett must, notes of tart guava and other tropical red fruits also show strong, coming across dry and crisp, all over a malt base of ultra-clean cereal grain. Flavors are lip-smackingly good, with delicious notes of tart guava and soured lacto-wheat (along the lines of Berliner Weiss) enhanced immeasurably by the woody, yeasty brett element. The palate is dry and lightly prickly, with a moderate body that feels refreshing and dry on the finish. Damn good stuff. This might even be better than I had hoped for. smith4498 (3647) - Winter Springs, Florida, USA - MAR 21, 2010
Draft @ Cigar City Brewing’s Hunahpu release. Pours cloudy orangish brown color with white head. Guava and citrus aroma with the signature Jolly Pumpkin funk. Flavor is guava and citrus hops with JP barrel funkiness. It’s very peppery. Medium body with average carbonation. I really liked this one. fata2683 (2176) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - MAR 21, 2010
on tap pours hazy orange with a medium off white head. Strong citrus and tropical fruit aroma...like a fruit cocktail. Flavor is wonderful. Guava meets a dry finky saison. Very good. HOPSHUNTER (742) - Tampa, Florida, USA - MAR 21, 2010
Draft @ CCB for RBWG. Poured a light, hazy, copper color with a thin white head. Nose is funky with notes of tropical fruits, lemon, and light wood. Thin to medium body with ample carbonation. Mild tart or sourness, with notes of brett, tropical fruit, citrus, light wood, and earthy hops. Acidity is fairly balanced which makes this beer overall pretty drinkable.

Tap at Hunahpu release. hazy golden cider color, not much head. Funky metallic nose, good carbonation. Funky citrus and fruit (I assume guava?) dominate, with a touch of sour, but not too much. A very refreshing funky fruit beer--could have drank it all night! dchmela (3064) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAR 19, 2010
Tap at the brewery. Thank you Geiger, you know what I mean ;-) Dark hazy orange pour. Guava, sour tart apple, fruitiness in the aroma. Taste is crispy sour malt, light on the tongue. Touches of fruit with a nice balance of sweet and sour. Good stuff. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAR 15, 2010
Hazy orange pour, off white head. Aroma is really interesting. Lots of tropical fruit, light red wine vinegar, funk, yeast, leather. Flavor is tart and a bit funky but what the barrel did to this beer was transform the flavor. It didn’t bring much sourness, just a delicious flavor that leaves your mouth watering...begging for more. Rating 3333. My favorite number. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - MAR 15, 2010
Draft. Medium off-white head atop murky amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, guava, funk, light sourness/tart. Taste is moderately sweet, guava, some funk, sourness, light tart. Light-medium body. JMFG (1587) - Florida, USA - MAR 14, 2010
On tap @ CCB. Cloudy orange color with an off-white head. The aroma is most affected by the cask, with a moderately sharp tartness present that plays well off the fruitiness. The flavor is less intensely influenced, but there is an added tartness to the taste that is a nice addition.
