(Draught) Pours a cloudy golden body with a medium white head. Aroma of horseblanket, herbs, pineapple, guava, and citrus. Flavor of citrus, brett, guava, herbs, and grass.

Draft… RBWG ‘10This beer rocks!… Murky caramel-colored ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Excellent retention. The aroma is acidic, funky and fruity in classic La Roja/Guava Grove fashion – a marriage that works very well. Medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation. Sweet, fruity, tangy flavor. Low bitterness. Finishes sweet/tart and then dry. World class saison!

Hazy orange pour, off white head. Aroma is really interesting. Lots of tropical fruit, light red wine vinegar, funk, yeast, leather. Flavor is tart and a bit funky but what the barrel did to this beer was transform the flavor. It didn’t bring much sourness, just a delicious flavor that leaves your mouth watering...begging for more. Rating 3333. My favorite number.

Entering old rates. Cask @ CCB. Blend of a Jolly Pumpkin yeast with guava goodness.

Had on tap at the Hunahpu release party 2010 as a part of RBWG 2010. The pour is a nice orange. The aroma is amazing Belgian sour and the flavor is somewhat subdued but still awesome.

Ibrew2or3 (8808) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - MAR 26, 2011
On tap Cigar City pouring hazy fully opaque murky amber with copper hues and long lasting creamy off white head. The aroma emits pears and apricots as well as a little bit of sweaty socks and moldy leather and then sour yeasty tartness that gets near a sense of crushed aspirin. The taste is similar with a big pulse of pears and apricot and a bit peach and then quickly becoming tart with lemon and grapefruit mixed with mango. Into the finish the tart yeast helps create a dry finish.

On tap, RBWG 2010. Pours a cloudy and murky orangish body with a wispy white head. The nose is wonderfully bretty with some great tropical fruits and some citrusy hops. The flavor is nicely brett influenced as well. Bright hops, a little yeastiness on the finish, and lots of tropical fruit. Surprisingly bright tasting. Nice fizzy carbonation with zero stickiness. Some pixie stick laced dryness on the finish. One of the better offerings that day.

Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - APR 5, 2010
Draft. Pours a hazy amber body with a white head. Bretty leather funky tones, not quite the JP funk you might expect to pull but it does have some of those funky leather y old provolone cheese notes. A citrus accented funky leathery spicy body with some zesty yeast spice. Finishes dry floral with a cheesy leather. Very very nice.
