Bottle. Pours a black body with a tan head and good retention. Huge hoppy chocolate, pine, citrus tones. Black IPA like bright and crisp. Hoppy with light coffee and chocolate tones. dcschiller (2208) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - DEC 3, 2010
(12oz bottle shared with beerbastard. Courtesy of markwise). Pours hazy cola colored with thin khaki head. Aroma of wood and chocolate tootsie pops. Taste is bitterness with some sweetness. Ashy with distinct dryness of mouthfeel. A bit rough around the edges. I would love to re-rate this with some age on it. lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 1, 2010

Tap at Blind Tiger.
Dark brown with some tan head that laces nicely. Nice smoky coffee aroma with some chocolate notes. Medium to full bodied with a light bitterness. Very enjoyable. polomagnifico (1202) - Saginaw, Michigan, USA - NOV 25, 2010
Bottle thanks to Tsotsi. Aroma has notes of roasted coffee, tobacco, smoke, resin hops and chocolate. Very dark brown hue that sits black in the glass. Average sized tan head that mostly diminished and left decent lace. Flavor is medium sweet and heavy bitter. Palate is medium bodied and watery average. Overall a good porter that seems overly hopped. This one could use a year or two in the cellar to mellow it out. TheEpeeist (3709) - Media, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 23, 2010
12 oz bottle. Dark brown with a smooth tan head. Nose is chocolate, caramel, wild grape and licorice. Creamy medium body with a sharp tang. Taste picks up on the chocolate and caramel adding some orange. Finishes with grapefruit peel and espresso. A bit too hoppy for me but should mellow nicely. lassem (652) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 23, 2010
Dark brown with a fine cappochino coloured head with a nice lasting head. The nose is very dominated of mocca notes like in nés-caf’é. There are also some yeasty and caramel notes. The taste is strangly roasted with bitter coffee notes and a bit of vanilla. Not any real complexity but really fine as a coffee-porter. The palate is smooth and fat what is almost CCs trade mark. bhensonb (15251) - Woodland, California, USA - NOV 20, 2010
Bottle from ericandersnavy! Pours dark brown/black with a beige/tan head. Aroma is extremely chocolate. Dark chocolate. Full bodied with foamy carbonation. Flavor is bourbonish. ? Followed by an incredible amount of smooth burnt malt and chocolate. Fairly dry and quite roasty. Wow.
