750 ml bottle shared by TheAlum- thanks again, Adam! Pours a deep, mostly opaque coffee brown with a small beige head. Bourbon is apparent but not dominant. Notes of dark fruits (berries, figs, dates), rich, layered chocolate, mild coffee, roasted malts, earth, oak, and vanilla. Medium-bodied, on the fuller side of the middle, with a smooth, rich mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Rich and tasty.

Bottle received in trade from MeadMe Pours a solid black with a decent sized tan head that dissipates quickly to a ring on top. Smells of rich dark chocolate and brownie batter if you drizzled some bourbon and vanilla on it. Hints of brown sugar and caramel round out the nose nicely. The flavor is rich dark cake batter with hints of cherry and raspberry. Vanilla bourbon and oak flavor add a nice bit of complexity to the flavor. Thick body with a light level of carbonation and a sweet creamy silky mouthfeel. I really enjoyed this beer, its a bit alcohol hot but it tastes so damn good I can put up with it. I wish I had a bottle to age.

Carbonaed, dry, some booziness form the bourbon, not a great beer in my opnion.

Pours a rich thick black color with a finger of deep mocha foam. The nose is sweet coconut cream, dark spicy chocolate, roasted almonds and a touch of bourbon soaked tootsie rolls. The palate follows the nose with a great creamy mouthfeel and sweet balanced flavors that continue to unfold as you sip the beer to completion and reach for a bottle of bourbon ! Tasty.

Pours dark with a cocoa colored head. Aroma is nice chocolate, wood, and coffee. Taste is cocoa, licorice, coffee, char, and barrel. Really well balanced beer. Similar to Black Xantus. Solid.

Big thanks to Dosbeerigos for sharing this. Nice bourbon chocolate flavor here. Not overly malty or hot, but a very nice mellow drinking bourbon beer.
