Big blackish pour with a dark chocolatey colored head. Wow this one delivers some superb barrel and chocolate notes, a very wispy hint of bitterness is hiding. I know porters tend to be on the thin side and the flavors of this sure made up for any lack of body.

750 ML bottle Dark brown color, light tan head. Good one finger head. Good retention and body to head. Some spotty lacing. Nose is bourbon, dark fruits, caramel, vanilla, and oak. Lots of caramel. Taste is more about the caramel, some dark fruits and malt to go with it. Feel is slightly light for what CCB can do. Medium carbonation and light bodied. Thought more a caramel bomb. Prefered the base version much more.

Thanks to Dixonian for sharing this bottle. Dark brown pour with a tan head. The aroma is full of chocolate with some dark fruit and roasted malt. The aroma is that of a classic Baltic porter. The flavor is similar, with some great additions. I get a lot of oak and grass notes up front, as well as some whiskey, maple, chocolate and roasted malt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Very nice.

Aroma is sweet and oaky chocolate. Pours brown with a light white head. Taste is super sweet with confectioners chocolate, slight toffee and a subtle roast. Very sweet, I was hoping for more roast.

Bottle at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Pours a dark brown with a beige head. Sweet and quite bitter. MAlty aromas of toffee with hints of grain. Also mellow hoppy aromas of pine. Hints of residual sugars, prusen and tiny hints of band aid.

Bomber shared by Armin - thanks amigo! Poured into a Crooked Stave snifter. Body is a cola brown with a small tannish head. Aroma is oaded with roasted malts, vanilla, wood and cocoa nibs. Taste is spot on for the style - love porters. This one loads up the dark chocolate with some light vanilla, bourbon barrel tones, & roasted nut flavors. Finishes sweet and delish. Grazie to Armin for this one.

Pour out of 750 mL bottle, thanks Paul! Dark black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of dark fruit, oak, bourbon, hints of slight cocoa, coffee, roast, slight spice notes as well with a touch of earth. Taste is a mix of dark chocolate, roast, coffee, going into bourbon, oak, molasses notes, slight earth, spice, lots more oak, finishing dry, oaky. Very tasty.
