Bomber. Pours a dark brown with some tan head. Lots of bourbon on the nose, some vanilla. Great palate, lots of bourbon but really nice. BVery (10510) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - NOV 9, 2013
Bomber - thanks Eric! Deep reddish brown pour with a soapy light beige head. Really nice bourbon nose with vanilla and wood. Medium and smooth palate. Nice vanilla taste. BBB63 (6557) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - OCT 31, 2013
Celebrating All Hallows Eve 2013 with a bottle via hopscotch: Pours a very deep muddy brown with a quickly fading head and basically no lace, some oily legs. The aroma has striking bourbon barrel (booze, vanilla, oak, char), lovely dark fruits and inviting earthy overtones. In the tradition of CCB this displays lots of tobacco and leather notes which makes me happy. The taste is still a tad hot and raw but I see this going great places with aging as long as no "wildness" starts to occur... but I digress for this is drinking pretty damn good right now. Everything on the nose is found on the palate as well. The mouth feel is soft and oily but not heavy, a tad tannic which does lessen the enjoyment... I do wonder what the ABV is on this.... methinks 9+ at least. I dig this now and would love the see what a year or so would do for it. Bacterial (2999) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - OCT 19, 2013
Bottle shared by Portableparty - thanks!!! Dark brown pour, slight tan head. Big bourbon nose. Bitter smoked malt fades quickly into soft bourbon and oak. Nice. portableparty (2350) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - OCT 19, 2013
750 ml bottle. Pours deep brown black and it is slightly oily with a thin tight soapy khaki head that rests to a wispy film and collar. Aroma has bourbon roasted malt chocolate vanilla some pitted fruit. Taste is roasted malt bourbon chocolate vanilla and faint prune and shows subtle bitterness. Palate is full rich and warming.

a very well done aged porter, rivaling most ive had. one of cigar city’s finest brews to date. BOLTZ7555 (3027) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - OCT 10, 2013
Dark mahogany pour with scarlet and chestnut at its edges. Tightly packed latte head. Caramel, toffee, cocoa, bourbon and wood in the nose. Flavor shows a decent amount of bourbon but not as much of the other barrel qualities. Vanilla, chocolate, subtle coffee, and some dark fruit. A tad thin. Not a bad beer but was looking for just a bit more. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 1, 2013
This one poured a dark brown with a tan head. Aroma was roast, dark chocolate, wood, light Bourbon. Flavor was similar, a little bit more thin than their other dark beers and lesser barrel, but still a tasty brew. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - OCT 1, 2013
Bottle @ Richard’s tasting. Reddish brown pour with a tan head. Kind of a boozy aroma. Bourbon, grape, plum, and roasted malts. Light vanilla, brown sugar, and chocolate. Flavors of bourbon, grape, and brown sugar. Sweet vanilla, chocolate, and plum. Roasted malt, licorice, and a touch of booze. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 29, 2013
750mL. Pours deep, inky red. Low foam. Nose is sticky, malted milk balls, stickier tomato paste style bourbon. Taste, though, is excellent with dense maple, salted rich chocolate, vanilla, rich caramel, flan dessert. Rich, decadent, oily palate. Nice.
