Fruit in the Room 2011. This was called ’Kiwis Big Adventure’ but was the same brew just with some more kiwis. Nose was twangy and full of tropical goodness. Cask at the CCB tap room. Pours room temp, which in the CCB tap roon is about 70. Lemonade looking pale yellow pour, no carbonation with just thin whispy bits of foam on top. Wheat, coriander and kiwi fruitiness all popping in the aroma. Nice crisp wheat malt in the taste with lots of kiwi fruit and coriander. Liked it, didn’t love it. Poured up on tap via the Friday Firkin offering with fully opaque murky pale gold with hints of copper hues and nice bright white head. The aroma is fresh spicy yeastiness, sweet fruitiness, a touch of fruit skin and faint herbal notes. The taste is similar with spicy yeast and a bit of spicy to floral hops. It then begins to pick up sweeter notes of both banana and rather faint kiwi like fruitiness. Interesting fresh and crisp warm weather brew.
