Handbottle via Ibrew2or3 - just an amazing gesture, Dave knew we had an upcoming Stout tasting and shipped this along with other brews as well, too generous, I gotta rate it...Pours dark as night with a small dk brown head..aroma is like a buffet, coffee and cocoa, marshmallow, charred wood...flavour is rich unctuous coffee, dark cocoa, tootsie roll (thanks toby), vanilla and caramel...smells so good you don’t really want to drink it, but you do, and then your glass is empty and you want to break shit because there is none left and you don’t live in Tampa and you don’t really know how lash out without attracting too much attention...yeah, that...
Seeing Dave last week made me dig out some old note books filled with back log ratings and enter this bad boy in. Thanks to Dave aka Ibrew2or3 for sending this hand bottled treat to boise. Pours out black topped with a tan head. Nose is nice velvet coffee vanilla brownies and rich chocolate. Taste is more of the amazing coffee chocolate roast. sebletitje (10067) - Enghien, BELGIUM - DEC 23, 2011
Entering old rates. Small batch available in the month of December 2010 during the CCB/Mikkeller collab, brewed on the new small system. This is insanely good with the Zgukov Finasl Push + more.
Brown head. Chocolate liquer meets kahlua. The aroma is sweet, coffee, chocolate, and very light roast. The flavor is amazing. Rich bold coffee, sweet chocolate notes...damn ccb does the stout as well as anyone! Sean9689 (285) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 25, 2010
Thanks goes to Alex for scoring this growler and Joey for surprising him with it. Very cool! Poured into tulip.
A - Pours black, mocha-colored head, some good lacing and thin cap remains after the initial pour.
S - Smells like dessert! Chocolate, coffee, vanilla, some toffee, and caramel. The Kopi isn’t in charge of this beer, rather, it’s blended in to compliment everything else that’s going on here. I just take taking whiff after whiff.
T - Tastes like dessert! Chocolate brownies, a glass of milk, and a cup of expresso all rolled into one. So rich and decadent, I just kept sipping more and more. No sign of the 12% at all.
M - Full bodied, smooth and rich, creamy finish.
D - One of my favorite beers of 2010. So good and just perfect for a cold Christmas Eve night. Once again, thank you Alex and Joey at CCB. A must-try when available!

Pours inky black darkness with mocha head and some sheet lacing. The aroma is sweet molasses, dark roasted malts, oily rich dark roasted coffee and chocolate malt balls. The taste is pretty much the same with richness and smooth boldness at every corner of the palate. I get dark to near burnt roasted malts mixing with molasses and then running into a pleasing chocolaty – earthy rich dark coffee bean yumminess. Deep in the background and coming forward every now and then is a blueberry – boysenberry jam like esteriness that bring about additional depth and yum. Nice. I could drink a vat of this stuff.
