May 2, 2015. On tap at CBC2015, red session.
Murky brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet caramel, figs, raisin, hints of vanilla, toasted oak, warming brandy alcohol with a touch of baked apples. Taste is very sweet without getting cloying, very soft bitter, warming alcohol. Finish is sweet, burnt sugar, hints of vanilla, dried fruits, hints of licorice, warming brandy alcohol. Medium to full bodied, soft carbonation, sticky, creamy texture.
Great BA Barley wine!

harrisoni (19165) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - OCT 10, 2015
On tap at Craft Covent Garden, black dark brown colour lasting thin tan head. Some barrel age. Again it’s a big beer. Unsubtle. Mostly just huge and overwhelming. Some barley wine character kicks in. Just a bit aggressive for me. Sone apple.

Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 13, 2015
Pours very thick not quite murky dark unclear pitch brown with a beige head. The aroma brings huge lightly sweet perfumey wine like malts with even some caramel and chocolate notes. The flavor is my favorite part bringing chocolatey caramel sweet malts so nice on the palate with a big malty but super smooth balanced sweetness bringing a beautifully huge and balanced BA barleywine.

25.4 oz bottle. Murky brown with edgy froth. Nose is brandy, wood, caramel and raisin. Medium body with a tang. Taste is brandy, wood and caramel with hints of chocolate. A bit faded but still delicious.
