From notes. Tasted on 10/21/12 from a capped 750mL bottle. Pours a very deep, dark brown with an average tan head that slowly recedes to thin, whispy lace. The nose is sweet raisin, caramel, maple, vanilla, date, brown sugar, and some brandy heat. The flavor is all about the sweet dried fruit up front with the vanilla brandy, and moving to just a touch of roast and the lightest bitterness. The body is super full with less than average, but just the right amount of carbonation, and a long brandy heat and woody vanilla finish. Bottle from El Catador. Big and rich nose of booze, caramel, raisins, figs and apples. Really rich and sweet. Lots of dark fruits. Very little booziness that I get off the nose. 750ml bottle via trade. Poured a not so good looking muddy deep brown body with a smaller tight foamy beige head. Aroma is solid, notes of toffee, caramel, wood, toast, slight brandy and wood, touch of vanilla. Body is bigger, softer carbonation, chalky with a lingering aftertaste. Flavor is much lke the aroma, brandy, wood, vanilla, apple brandy, caramel, molasses, toffee and vanilla pudding. Solid beer with very well hidden ABV.

A: Dark mahogany with a thin cappuccino head.
N: Licorice, anise, toffee, biscuit, and cracker. Toast, vanilla, and alcohol. Bark and bourbon. Figs and dates. Sweet apples, butter, brown sugar, and sugary grapes.
T: Very sweet, but not cloying as I’ve found many a CCB beer to be. Touch of bitterness.
M: Very stick. Heavy body.

Medium mouthfeel with nice booze, apple core, oak, and nice lingering sweet finish, hides alcohol well, very impressive. Bottle, shared at RBAG 2014, I believe by Ferris. Dark amber, creamy off white head. Big toast and sweet bourbon aroma. Sweet apple bourbon and toffee flavours, moderately bitter. Lovely balance, deep malt structure. Superb.
