Aroma of candied fruit, currants, oak, bourbon, brown sugar. Muddy brown due to a bunch of particulates, nice creamy off white head. This is eminently drinkable, quite dangerous. Shared @ Woodshed 3.0! Burnt tangerine pour with scarlet, garnet, and crimson at its core. A small, creamy eggshell foam sits on top but diminishes quickly. Loads of butterscotch, maple, caramel, toffee, dark fruit, oak, and brandy. Really tasty and dangerously drinkable. Bottle thanks to N8daGr8 ! Pours a deep mahogany color with a finger of fizzy khaki foam. Nose is beautiful with layers upon layers of smooth sweet caramel, toffee, marshmallow, dark fruit and a hint of nutty tang. Palate follows with great mouthfeel and transistions from front to back of the palate. Sugar daddys, some traces of apple, vanilla cream, molasses.... tasty beer !

Bottle at home with friends, courtesy of Aaron. Thanks man!! Pour is deep crimson-brown with a frothy tan head and decent lacing. Sweet malty, almost tangy, caramelly, candi sugar, dark fruits, red licorice, bourbon, figs, and caramelized raisins in the aroma. Taste is rich figs, dates, marshmallows, slightly roasted, sweet caramel, prunes, somewhat grapey, and light vanilla. Slick mouthfeel with soft carbonation. A- pours a super murky burnt amber and brown. Mild light tan, clingy head. No lacing.
S- grains, sourdough bread, oats, graham crackers, über honey, prunes, dried dates, maple syrup, faint grass, cherry cordial. Brandy influence is minimally present.
M- medium to heavy oily body with a sweet and sugary heavy palette. Medium carbonation.
T- grains, prunes and oats up front. Stinging alcohol comes on strong in the middle. Clover honey and dark fruits also come on strong in the mid palette. Graham crackers too. Caramel. Some weak cheap, fund-raising milk chocolate. Ending is more honey, syrup, minerals, mild chalk, grass, hops, and more grain intensity. knickskicks (1168) - - MAR 12, 2014
Murky brown reddish pour. Nose is sweet caramel, big apple brandy, a touch of salt. Taste is apple brandy sweetness, caramel apple, a touch of salt. Sticky viscousy mouthfeel.
