3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
dark brown, almost black, aroma of roasted malt, coffee, toffee, taste of dry coffee, toffee, chocolate, caramel, and some pine on the finish, nice creamy texture, very drinkable
UPDATED: MAR 20, 2018 I’ve had this on tap at Cigar City as well as from a can. Fresh from the tap is of course much better. Overall this is a great beer. To me it seems more like a stout than a brown ale. Definite coffee notes along with a slightly nutty aftertaste. bigben873 (290) - Virginia, USA - MAR 17, 2018
A solid brown ale, nice caramel. Just a hint of smokiness. MARCH MADNESS 2018! JBell14 (181) - Chelmsford, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 16, 2018
Pours very dark with a tan head. Aroma is more reminiscent of a stout than a brown. Hints of chocolate and toffee.

UPDATED: MAR 13, 2018 I don’t usually like this style of beer, but this is solid. Similar flavor to other brown ales, but has some more complex flavors lingering. For me this is a good switch from IPA’a and other more common styles. Definitely worth it to try! Jabah (582) - Bethesda, Maryland, USA - MAR 10, 2018
One of the cigar city staple originals originally sampled way back in the day. May have gotten slightly mass produced sacrificing quality throughout the years. Semi-creamy texture and added flavor from the oatmeal. The variations like oatmeal raisin cookie are solid too. Could be my go-to brown in Florida.

Pours coppery brown with thin lasting lacing. Very nice mouthfeel with bread sweetness at the finish. Very drinkable and indicative of the style. weitz15 (642) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 9, 2018
Watery dark bronze pour. Aroma is a faint brown sugar, and the flavor is a thin malted nutty mix. Should have more body. lasage (60) - DENMARK - MAR 3, 2018
UPDATED: MAR 3, 2018 Dåse. Klar mørk brun tynd beige skum. Aroma ristet malt ikke noget specielt. Smager af mørk malt, nødder, hint af bitter ristet kaffe. Ganske god Brown ale. tmoreau (4888) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - FEB 27, 2018
Shared 12 oz. can poured to snifters showing a dark brown color, with a presentable layer of tan froth, and foamy spots of lacing. The nose was roasted, mocha notes that was more cocoa than coffee, malty, with subtle nuttiness & woodiness. Light to medium bodied, with okay carbonation, the taste was similar, with moderate roasted & earthy bitterness, and a touch tobacco dryness. hub66 (570) - SWITZERLAND - FEB 16, 2018
Couleur brun noir; mousse beige; arômes et goûts maltés, grillés, de chocolat et un peu de fumée; finale légèrement amère
