If you are in the Tampa area make your way to the brewery taste house on spruce street. If you can not because of the wife or the other. Buy it in a can, pour in to a glass or your hand if you have to. Drink the six pack sitting in the backyard chasing the opossums away. For the tourist do the same but chase down the little brown lizards down and try to catch them.

Appearance: clear amber-brown with one finger of light beige head diminishing gradually to a thin cap, patchy lacing. (3/5) Aroma: cocoa, oat bread, nutty, toffee & caramel, hint of leather. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate bitter. (7/10) Palate: medium body, soft to moderate carbonation, dry medium finish. (4/5) Pleasant chocolate and toasted oat character combine with a smooth body to make this easy-drinking and mellow. Nothing too exciting, but a solid (if somewhat middle-of-the-road) example of a not-very-exciting style.

Caramel brown, clear, large beige head
Aroma of brown caramel, sweet toffee caramel, nice sweet brown malts
Taste of caramel, toffee malts, loads of malt in this, soft milk chocolate
Palate - Medium carb, medium light body, quite sweet but not too much, slightly oily, smooth. Finish of smooth brown toffee malts, nice soft linger
Overall - Good malty beer, but was told when fresh is more hoppy than this

5.5%ABV. Brown ale. Tapped out dark brown. 32 SRM Nose is nutty. There is old leather funk and body with a hint of "sweat" Mouthfeel is soupy and juicy. Palate has wet fermenting grain. Wet leather. Prune juice, dates, woody leathery. Noble hops. Finish is woody, leathery and wet wood. Very very full-bodied and nice. Certainly style-faithful. Goes on Favorites List!

Rich and deeply bubbled chestnut brown with a foamy tan head that lasts a bit. Aroma is chocolate malts, grains and a touch of toffee. Taste is a bit less sweet. Again chocolate malts and some toffee, but a touch of coffee and sour milk. Active mouthfeel. Roasty and lively. A very solid and enjoyable brown ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
