Pours hazy brown with hints of red. Nose is roasted grain, sweet malts and vinous and sweet hints of ripe and unripe blueberry hidden away in the back end. Flavor is pretty much maduro, toasty grain, bold roast with very little trace of the fruit. Although it does come through in the end as a subtle tartness. satan165 (1020) - River Grove, Illinois, USA - SEP 26, 2010
aroma is standard maduro with perhaps a hint of fruit. quite subtle if at all existent. appearance is cloudy near opaque, no blue hue present if you were wondering. flavor is long sticky chocolate finish, ultra fleeting fruit makes an appearance briefly. not alot here beyond the base beer which is a bit soured with tartness, a pointless endevour. murphym45 (779) - New York, New York, USA - NOV 25, 2010
Tap at Blind Tiger.
Almost identical to the normal Maduro. Nice nutty aroma with roasty malts and chocolate, medium bodied and very smooth. We left the beer out for quite a bit to warm up and eventually picked up some very faint blueberry notes. HOPSHUNTER (742) - Tampa, Florida, USA - APR 9, 2010
Growler courtesy of Ibrew2or3. Thought I missed this one then found it in my back log...score! Poured a hazy amber color with an average sized egg shell head. Nose is malty with touches of roast, chocolate, nuts, maybe a mild frutiness but I’m not sure if I would be able to distinguish this from the base beer by smell. Medium body with ample carbonation. Flavor is Maduro, I really don’t get any blueberry maybe a faint tartness. steelcitybrew (454) - Orlando, Florida, USA - SEP 25, 2010
Pours a lite brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is coffee beans and roasted malts. Taste is regular maduro with blueberry notes. Palate is light mouthfeel. Overall another solid brew

Draft at cigar city brewing. pours a dark brown. has the good nutty normal maduro aroma. perhaps a hint of blueberry in there but it isn’t strong. The flavor on the other hand was disappointing, the first time i’ve been disappointed by one of cigar cities brews. it begins as well as the regular maduro, but the sweet, fruity blueberry finish is just not for me. blueberry fans will probably enjoy it, but i did not. Aroma is heavy with tobacco, a little spicy hops and bready malts. Appearance: auburn body and thin white head. Taste: smoky tobacco that is smooth all the way through, but makes it a little too one note. Palate. Thin with clean finish.
Had this at hops and pie during GABF special tap takeover by Cigar City Tsotsi (178) - Florida, USA - JAN 28, 2010
Thanks to SoLan for sharing. Nice brown color with a beige head. Nose is full of dark coffee and roasty malts with a slight blueberry aroma. Flavors are sweet, full of coffee and chocolate. Get the blueberry on the finish and it does over power the beer. Mouthfeel is creamy, medium bodied. Very nice beer. Thebullshornbar (74) - Florida, USA - MAR 12, 2014
Poured from a can, this is a great brown ale with lingering notes of coffee, malts and chocolate. Easily enjoyable in any setting where caramelized malts that are roundeed out with hints of tobacco and leather are desired. This is a fantastic session beer.
