Growler, courtesy SoLan. Pours a clear chestnut brown color with reddish highlights. A small, frothy, bubbly tan head leaves wet micro-spots of lacing on the glass. The nose is not too far off from the base Maduro, showing notes of rich cocoa and caramel malt, with hints of flaked oats and hints of nuts. Blueberry comes across as a faint, generic, fruity sweetness, not very prominent at all. Flavors follow suit, again based in coco-caramel malt, showing soft roast and smooth, soothing oats. The berries lend a softly tangy, mainly sweet fruit element. Medium bodied, with a silky, moderately carbonated mouthfeel, the palate lends itself to sessioning. I found this one to be tasty, but the added sweetness detracts a bit from the rock solid base beer. juiceisloose (1526) - Windermere, Florida, USA - FEB 27, 2010
Growler from the brewery. Pours a chestnut brown color with some reddish hue and topped by a small, foamy tan colored head that leaves tiny spots of lace behind. The aroma is pretty typical for the base Maduro with roasted cocoa and caramel malt to with hints of flaked oats, and some subtle blueberry sweetness in the back. The flavor follows suit with the roasted cocoa and caramel malt base with hints of nuts and smooth oats. The blueberries are noticeable on the backend lending an earthy tartness to everything. Medium bodied with balanced carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel that leads to an earthy, crisp finish. The blueberries were subtle, but added some nice flavor and earthiness to this treatment. Nice, tasty session brown ale. Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - DEC 26, 2010
Tap at BT. Pours a nice deep woody brown with a nice white head. Aroma is blueberry muffins/pancake, slight syrupy fakeness to it with some nutty chocolate hints. Flavor is dusty chocolate, nutty, berry fruitiness, mineral, blueberry, light earthy note, dry finish with leather mineral and paper on the tongue. Ok. zdk (1917) - New York, New York, USA - JAN 8, 2011
tap at blind tiger - oatmeal raisin cookie, doughy malts, hint of fruits.. not much of blueberry though. pretty sweet, some nuttiness, aromatic but not all that fruity, IMO. burg326 (5594) - Florida, USA - AUG 22, 2011
Poured at Fruit in the Room, a brown ale that has coffee, oats, chocolate, nuts, and blueberry aromas. Taste mimics aromas, but not as much blueberry I was hoping for.

Growler courtesy of Ibrew2or3. Thought I missed this one then found it in my back log...score! Poured a hazy amber color with an average sized egg shell head. Nose is malty with touches of roast, chocolate, nuts, maybe a mild frutiness but I’m not sure if I would be able to distinguish this from the base beer by smell. Medium body with ample carbonation. Flavor is Maduro, I really don’t get any blueberry maybe a faint tartness. Dr_MedievAle (215) - Alabama, USA - OCT 11, 2013
Aroma is heavy with tobacco, a little spicy hops and bready malts. Appearance: auburn body and thin white head. Taste: smoky tobacco that is smooth all the way through, but makes it a little too one note. Palate. Thin with clean finish.
Had this at hops and pie during GABF special tap takeover by Cigar City mtnrcrxc (4) - Massachusetts, USA - MAY 27, 2014 does not count
Draft, murky brown, menu didn't mention blueberry so I was a bit surprised , interesting combo - blueberry aroma with mild blueberry character, nice toffee malty flavor, something about the finish seems not quite right, but overall tasty satan165 (1020) - River Grove, Illinois, USA - SEP 26, 2010
aroma is standard maduro with perhaps a hint of fruit. quite subtle if at all existent. appearance is cloudy near opaque, no blue hue present if you were wondering. flavor is long sticky chocolate finish, ultra fleeting fruit makes an appearance briefly. not alot here beyond the base beer which is a bit soured with tartness, a pointless endevour. Draft at cigar city brewing. pours a dark brown. has the good nutty normal maduro aroma. perhaps a hint of blueberry in there but it isn’t strong. The flavor on the other hand was disappointing, the first time i’ve been disappointed by one of cigar cities brews. it begins as well as the regular maduro, but the sweet, fruity blueberry finish is just not for me. blueberry fans will probably enjoy it, but i did not.
