3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @ProofBrewing. Aroma is remarkably similar to the original maduro, very little vanilla present. Taste is light mix of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, with a roasted taste present as well. Still a remarkably light beer given the dark aray of flavors, and overall very pleasant. Not typically a fan of brown ales but this one was quite nice.
Nitro draft @ Uno’s Neshaminy. Pours semi-opaque nut brown with a creamy, bone-colored head. Nutty aroma mixed with a pleasant vanilla note. Medium body with a bit of creaminess and a dry finish. Nutty malt flavor mixed with a note of vanilla. Maybe a touch of tobacco at the base. RRistow12 (898) - Lewis Center, Ohio, USA - MAY 9, 2017

Draft at Whole Foods PM. Poured hazy dark brown with tan head. Earthy brown malts and vanilla in the nose. Tasted like a maduro brown ale, with the earthy, malty notes, mild tobacco, nuts, and well integrated vanilla. AirForceHops (7336) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - FEB 5, 2017
12 oz. can shared by Chalumeaux, much thanks! Deeper brown in color, lasting head retention. Nice smooth, easy vanilla aroma. The flavor is mostly vanilla bean with a nutty malt base. The texture and mouthfeel is correct for the style. Carbonation is correct with a average mouthfeel. Lots of lingering vanilla on the finish. Nice.
