Can from Valhalla’s Goat, Glasgow. Beer served in 16°C, Duvel Glass. Gushing. Pours dark ruby brown with very quickly disappearing head. Aroma is powdery cacao, mild sweet chocolate, lactose and cream. Taste is cereal like, a little bit of chocolate, oats, milk, biscuits. Slightly bitter, easy to drink. Indeed quite good with cakes and desserts.

Can @WholeFoods Nutty, Chocolately, Roasty...even Smoky. First time i’ve had it. Was very surprised, as it wasn’t watery but very complex and delicious. Smells like Mocha & Cigars. So refreshing! The only down side is the low ABV...but, overall, a great brew! Another winner from Cigar City.

6-pack of cans from J J Liquors (Edgewater). Clear brown appearance with ruby hues and a fluffy, lingering beige head. Aroma of nutty/toasty malts, milk chocolate, mild coffee, light caramel and a touch of earthiness. Similar flavor, rich, malty and moderately sweet with minimal to light bitterness. Medium to light body with soft carbonation, a creamy feel and a smooth finish. Easy to drink, a pleasant brown ale.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a clear, brown with a finger of foam that dissipates. Cacao nib and coffee-forward nose. Notes of tobacco, french-roast coffee, cacao and leather. Light bodied, creamy palate, complex flavor, dryish finish. Really nice brown.
