Growler. An unclear dark red beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of spices, malt, caramel, brown sugar, and oatmeal. The flavor is sweet with notes of spices, oatmeal, wood, roasted malt, and brown sugar, leading to a dry spicy finish, where the alcohol leaves a slight bite on the palate. Thanks plovmand for sharing.

Growler 95cl. Courtesy of Plovmand. Pours a cloudy nutty brown with a beige head. Spicy, herbal aroma - hard to detect exactly what though. Some wood. Medium body, nuts and brown sugar and again a fairly solid spiciness. Dryish finish. A little overcarbonated. A fairly exotic experiment. 090710

Dark brown, medium head with a slight caramel colour. Smells a lot like an oatmeal raisin cookie, but with a fair bit of cinnamon. Sweet, cookieish, with a lot of raisin and cinnamon and a fairly oaty character, good.

Draft sample at Cigar City. Poured a clear brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate roasted oatmeal, sweet spice and small coffee aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Solid roasted oatmeal cookie sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate duration. Standout complex brew.
