Bottle in Blåbær Lambik queue @ Himmeriget, Copenhagen thanks to mrorla! Pours pitch black with a large dark brown dense head. Classic CCB stout. Aromas of apple brandy, light vanilla, roasted malts, light bread, dark chocolate. Taste is roasty, bitter malty, some barrel showing and some vanilla but mostly the base stout shining through with lots of dark chocolate, bready roasted malts. Expected this to be sweeter and less like MZ but still pretty darn nice.

Generously shared by Mr.Orla. Thank you sir! Pours a typical MZ shiny oily black with a dark espresso cream head. The aroma is killer here with both the apple brandy and the vanilla working to even out the roasty malt and adding more sweetness into the aroma. The taste is a little along the same lines. The MZ body and taste are there but just slightly sweeter and more pastry like, which I like. Also coffee, dark caramel roast, dark decadent brownie and sweet booze from the barrel. Creamy sticky and thick mouthfeel with low carbonation. I found this to be one of the highlights of the entire blåbær line share. Thanks a bunch peeps.

Bottle from a trade to celebrate getting a 400 pound egg to cook food. Pitch black with a small dark brown head that dies quickly. Nose is moderate brandy. Lots of Apple and pear. Light tobacco and a lot of dark fruit. Holy hell this is yummy. A lot of vanilla. And very smooth flavor profile. Just decadent and velvet mouthfeel. Lots of chocolate and cocoa and fudge. Light on the tobacco. This is just great.

Bottle shared with and courtesy of a limping but not too distressed marmot in Deanso’s garage. Black with a thick but short lived dark brown head. Aroma of rich roast, dark chocolate, coffee, coconut, oak and vanilla. Flavour is light heavy sweet and bitter. Full bodied with a thick texture, a warming alcohol finish and soft carbonation.
