UPDATED: JUN 8, 2016 Bottle thanks to Brian. Pours black with medium tan head that lasts. The aroma is strong vanilla bean, roast, chocolate, brandy, wood. Thick mouth, chewy, very sweet, brandy, vanilla coming through more as it warms, really enjoyed this. kermis (15161) - The Hague / Amsterdam / Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - DEC 10, 2016
Bottle shared with and courtesy of a limping but not too distressed marmot in Deanso’s garage. Black with a thick but short lived dark brown head. Aroma of rich roast, dark chocolate, coffee, coconut, oak and vanilla. Flavour is light heavy sweet and bitter. Full bodied with a thick texture, a warming alcohol finish and soft carbonation. hopscotch (11491) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAR 18, 2016
UPDATED: JAN 10, 2018 Bottle... This beer rocks!... Pours Dark Lord-black with a temporary, small, beige head. The aroma is a fantastic swirl of fudge, pouch tobacco, vanilla and apple brandy. Full-bodied with a heavy cream mouthfeel and lazy carbonation. The flavor is burnt and bitter, boasting deeply roasted barley, scorched malts, pouch tobacco, booze and unsweetened, dark, bakers chocolate in the lengthy, heart-warming finale. Huge thanks to landhoney for popping the top off this world-class imperial stout! deanso (10355) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - DEC 10, 2016

750 ml bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Brewed exclusively for BeerZareGewd, bro! (Whoever in the fuck that is.) I watched this beer go from trading for two b1 Zennes to dropping in my lap for $230 on MBC, and couldn't resist, so we'll see how it goes... Looks great; an opaque motor oil with darker mahogany head that slowly but steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells delicious! Dark malt, dark chocolate, oak, and apple brandy alongside a well-balanced vanilla presence. Tastes like it smells, but not as robust or balanced. Mouthfeel is medium full-bodied and fairly slick. Good, but not nearly as good as it smells. BuckeyeBoy (9219) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JAN 28, 2017
750ml bottle thanks to Mike. Pours out black topped with a tan head. Nose is amazing apple brand barrel roast malts chocolate sweetness. Taste is more of the nice barrel notes vanilla spice booze. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - MAR 27, 2016
750ml bottle shared at Cycle’s Barrel Aged Day 2016 (Saint Petersburg, FL). Pours a deeper blackish murky hue, some brownish glow on the edges and a decent enough brownish head that dies down quickly. Sweet sticky nose shows vanilla and caramel, a bit of that tangy apple brandy appeal and cocoa, fudgey appeal and a bit of a softened tannic oaky appeal, subtle yet growing oxidation. Initial is sweet and a bit sticky, but a bit dead on the palate for me. Perhaps undercarbed or the vanilla and apple brandy not really integrating well together ending up in a bit of a sweet mess. Touches of tangy barrel flavor, some tannic oak, lingering roast and oxidized carmelized malts. Ok. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - FEB 8, 2016
Bottle, oddly disjointed. The vanilla and brandy are stong and don’t meld well with the base. This might actually need some time. The flavors alone are very nice though.
