Bottle. Aroma is roast, chocolate, and red wine. Tastes very sweet. Huge sherry and chocolate syrup. Not a huge fan of this one.

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate chocolate, molasses, sherry, oak, and a touch of vanilla. It pours a dark brown with no transparency and a small tan head that quickly fades to almost nothing outside of a very thin ring. The flavor starts with moderate chocolate and a hint of molasses. The finish has moderate roasted coffee, oak some metal, and and a hint of coconut. It’s medium-full bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat soft sticky mouthfeel. Draft pour at Hunahpu’s Day 2016 (Tampa, FL). Pours a deeper dark blackish opaque hue. Darker and deep colors show a bit of midnight glow on the edges and bottom. A sizable cakey dark brown head on sits atop, stays as a decent layer and lacing. Aromas show roast and toffee, caramel and a bit of vinous character. Subtle dark fruit, oak, and gentle spirit hit their stride. Darker, gentle anise, roasty and carmelized elements. I think the sherry barrel adds some nice complexity here without overdoing it, the base standing up nicely and holding on. Bottle @ Dangerous Bottleshares feat. Aaron from Oregon 5.0. Pours PITCH and i mean pitch black with a dark brown head. True CCB style. Aroma is very sherry dominated with the big marshal zhukov basebeer behind giving you those roasted malts, chocolate and dark fruity notes. Also some plums and maybe even espresso notes in there. But overall very dominated by the barrel. The taste is very roasted with lots of sherry, sweet dark fruits, dark chocolate, cocoa beans, plums and maybe even cherry. Bottle @ Dangerous Bottleshares ft. Aaron from Oregon 5.0. Pours pitch black with a medium mocha head. Like any other CCB stout. Aromas of dark fruits, cherry, soy, savory, dark chocolate, roasty malt base, sweet cherries. Taste has a lot of sweet cherries, roasty, vinous, malty, chocolate, dates, figs, dry, savory, plums.
