Handbottled, courtesy of MadsBerg. Pours dark brown to black with a chocolate brown head. Aroma is fruity and roasted malty. Lingering fruity, vanilla, light smoked and roasted malty flavoured. Smooth and fruity lingering into the finish. Ungstrup (37583) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - DEC 16, 2009
Handbottled. Entered to celebrate my rating number 15,300. A pitch black beer with a thin very dark brown head. The aroma has strong notes of roasted malt, soy sauce, wood, and some alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of soy sauce, roasted malt, caramel, wood, and prunes, leading to a dry woody finish. Thanks a lot MadsBerg for sharing. Hand bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of madsberg. Pours a pitch opaque black with a dense and creamy brown head that leaves a neat lacework. Aroma of burned malts, sweet vanilla and wood with a whiff of smoke. Solid body, very burned malts, woody, vanilla with an extreme malt astringency. Quite rough. 161209 madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 19, 2012

Cheers Dave! Opaque black beer. Short lived very dark brown head. Fresh dark malt nose with hints of dry wood and Port Wine. Fresh palate, semi soft and semi dry. Fresh dark malt, a traces of roast, chocolate and coffee. The Port Wine is subtle but definitely there and presents cherry and blackcurrant, especially in the head. Unsweet wood on the back of the tongue. A step up from the regular Zhukov
Pours an opaque black body with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted grain, nuts, and light vanilla. Flavor of chocolate, roasted malt, some coffee, and light ash with a smooth mouthfeel and bitter finish.

Handbottled. Thx to lbrew2or3. Pitch black coloured. Dense dark brown head. Roast, coffee, sweetness, fruits, wood, chocolate in the aroma. Flavour of roast, berries, wood, spice, chocolate. vanilla, herbs. Full bodied. Roasty and sugary bitterness in the end. Smooth and balanced. Very well hidden alcohol. Very nice. I´ll use this to thank lbrew2or3 big time for the 7 CCB beers he forwarded to me in a trade. Very good stuff. hopscotch (11101) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 7, 2009
Growler… This beer rocks!… Pours pitch black with a small, creamy, brown head. Decent, swirling retention. The aroma is so spicy, nutty and rich - highlights are toasted almonds, wood, dark chocolate and vanilla. Full-bodied and velvety with soft carbonation. The flavor is of spicy wood, espresso, bitter nut-shell tannins and dark, unsweetened chocolate. Lengthy, deeply roasted, bitter finish. Another world class treatment of a world class beer! daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - OCT 4, 2009
Growler from Greg, thanks man!! Black pour with a really nice rich tan head. The port aroma is subtle but certainly there. Dark fruits abound, chocolate and some roast. Flavor is delicious. Really awesome. Oak, fruit, chocolate covered raisins, cherries, booze and lightly bitter on the end. Another stellar CCB creation. Ibrew2or3 (8614) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - NOV 1, 2009
Growler pour courtesy of TampaBrew. Pours deep dark sludge with lasting mocha head. Good looking brew. The aroma has chocolate, some roastiness, a touch of oak followed by fudge brownie. The taste is roasty malts running to roastier and then burnt malts. Those notes blend into rich chocolate and mild oak. By midway oak, roasty malts, black strap molasses, chocolate and a mild amount of what tastes like dark fruitiness takes this to the finish. Lingering into the after taste are thin layers of chocolate and highly roasted malts. Very little port influence from what I could tell.
