Inky black with a decent tan head that persists. Chocolate roast and thick molasses and licorice with some sharp vinous sherry notes. Very thick very sweet, but pretty tasty too. rdixon77 (2875) - Georgia, USA - MAY 1, 2016
Thanks Danny for scoring me a bottle. Big thick black pour with tan head. Sherry and booze and chocolate in the aroma. Taste had a nice bitter sweet chocolate body. Some fruitiness. Very sweet and viscous. Yum. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - APR 10, 2016

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate chocolate, molasses, sherry, oak, and a touch of vanilla. It pours a dark brown with no transparency and a small tan head that quickly fades to almost nothing outside of a very thin ring. The flavor starts with moderate chocolate and a hint of molasses. The finish has moderate roasted coffee, oak some metal, and and a hint of coconut. It’s medium-full bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat soft sticky mouthfeel. Overall, the metal really hurts this for me. Dfonorow (2250) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 8, 2016
On tap at RateBeer Best 2016. Pour is close to black with an average beige head. Aroma and flavor of dry wine, roasted malt, bakers chocolate, molasses, and cherry juice. Finish is dry coffee grounds, sweet chocolate, and booze. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - MAR 27, 2016
Draft pour at Hunahpu’s Day 2016 (Tampa, FL). Pours a deeper dark blackish opaque hue. Darker and deep colors show a bit of midnight glow on the edges and bottom. A sizable cakey dark brown head on sits atop, stays as a decent layer and lacing. Aromas show roast and toffee, caramel and a bit of vinous character. Subtle dark fruit, oak, and gentle spirit hit their stride. Darker, gentle anise, roasty and carmelized elements. I think the sherry barrel adds some nice complexity here without overdoing it, the base standing up nicely and holding on. Tapering oak, gentle warmth and roast, tannic barrel and sherry flavors and subtle oxidation. Tasty. RasmusOtt (2792) - Aarhus, DENMARK - MAR 22, 2016
Bottle @ Dangerous Bottleshares feat. Aaron from Oregon 5.0. Pours PITCH and i mean pitch black with a dark brown head. True CCB style. Aroma is very sherry dominated with the big marshal zhukov basebeer behind giving you those roasted malts, chocolate and dark fruity notes. Also some plums and maybe even espresso notes in there. But overall very dominated by the barrel. The taste is very roasted with lots of sherry, sweet dark fruits, dark chocolate, cocoa beans, plums and maybe even cherry. Also some Coffee and a savory end. Some people just can’t handle the juice - I can. Klimaet (2683) - Aarhus N, DENMARK - MAR 15, 2016
