COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Russian Imperial Stout is dedicated to Gregory Zhukov. Arguably one of World War II’s finest generals and a man bold enough to appreciate the rich, complex flavors of a beer brewed to fortify a body through the Russian winter. Like military geniuses, Russian Imperial Stouts reach their peak with a little age on them, so we release Marshal Zhukov’s Russian Imperial Stout in sweltering August so that it will be at peak flavor come January or February. <P> Opaque black in color, the aroma has notes of espresso, chocolate, dark sweet toffee with hints of black strap molasses. The flavor starts with an unsweetened chocolate character and supporting notes of herbal dryness from English hop varietals. It then moves into dark toffee sweetness and closes with a slap of roasty espresso. Zhukov’s Imperial Stout pairs well with Mushroom Solyanka, dark chocolate, cherries and ground wars in Russia. Enjoy, comrade.

Arayaga2 (2221) - portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 25, 2017
UPDATED: OCT 25, 2017 Half inch head looks like reddish brown lava, on an inky black liquid. Taste is rich and for lack of a better word, dark. More acidic than expected, in a bittersweet chocolate kind of way. 14/22 oz (Animal’s funeral)

Rask0lnikov (1474) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - OCT 24, 2017
On tap at Brewskival 2017. Pours black colour. Moderate dark beige head. Cocoa, vanilla, chocolate, slight nutiness in the aroma. Toffee, vanilla, cocoa at first. Chocolate, toffee, notes of nuts in the middle. Toffee and chocolate in the end. Very pleasent aftertaste of chocolate and cocoa. Very well balanced, rather heavy bodied, well drinkable imperial stout.

Coffee and molasses on the nose. Lots of roasty espresso notes, chickory coffee and dense chocolate cake. A little sweeter on the finish, but nice and dry, as well as a very complicated, rich stout.

tightslice (1438) - Redwood City, California, USA - OCT 21, 2017
Bottle from Total Wine in Orlando, FL. Aroma is dark chocolate, vanilla, molasses, mild coffee. Taste is dark chocolate, vanilla, mild caramel. Was expecting more from this one (Cigar City being a favorite + 100 pt score), will try again to see what all the hub-bub is.

Dorwart (2609) - Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA - OCT 12, 2017
Very dark brown head of fine and dense bubbles. Rick malty aroma with lots of burnt sugar, prunes, fresh green grass, milk chocolate and molasses. Color is a slick oily black that lingers in the wall but slides back down to regather quickly. Rich full bodied and intense flavor. Loads of dark roasted malts, mild coffee, molasses, brown sugar, bittersweet chocolate and and bit of dried nuts at the finish. Noticeable alcohol presence and warming. Creamy smooth mouthfeel that makes it a pleasure to drink. Could have maybe layer in the bottle for a few more months (or years) to round out the edges a bit. A top notch imperial stout!

Brewskival 2017. Smak och doft av choklad, kaffe, vanilj, torv, marsipan, fudge, marshmallows med aningar av torv och brända toner. Tjock, krämig, rund och len, något kärv, fin sötma med en fin beska med smak av bitter mörkchoklad. Fantastiskt gott!

Mariox (337) - Warsaw, POLAND - OCT 1, 2017
W aromacie wybijają się nuty czekolady, kawy, wanilii, owoców w czekoladzie, pralin, lekko palone. W smaku dość słodkie i całkiem goryczkowe nuty palone...balans zachowany dobrze. Finisz bardzo fajny deserowo-czekoladowy, kawowy, gorzkie praliny. Sporo ciała, treściwe i całkiem pijalne
