COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Russian Imperial Stout is dedicated to Gregory Zhukov. Arguably one of World War II’s finest generals and a man bold enough to appreciate the rich, complex flavors of a beer brewed to fortify a body through the Russian winter. Like military geniuses, Russian Imperial Stouts reach their peak with a little age on them, so we release Marshal Zhukov’s Russian Imperial Stout in sweltering August so that it will be at peak flavor come January or February. <P> Opaque black in color, the aroma has notes of espresso, chocolate, dark sweet toffee with hints of black strap molasses. The flavor starts with an unsweetened chocolate character and supporting notes of herbal dryness from English hop varietals. It then moves into dark toffee sweetness and closes with a slap of roasty espresso. Zhukov’s Imperial Stout pairs well with Mushroom Solyanka, dark chocolate, cherries and ground wars in Russia. Enjoy, comrade.

Draft and bottle from capone’s. Blackish pour with an oh-so inviting aroma of dark chocolate, roast, and a bit off coffee and hops. Flavor is very roasty and hop dominant for an IS, but damn tasty. Solid feel and finish. Thank god we can get this stuff in PA!

Very dark brown head of fine and dense bubbles. Rick malty aroma with lots of burnt sugar, prunes, fresh green grass, milk chocolate and molasses. Color is a slick oily black that lingers in the wall but slides back down to regather quickly. Rich full bodied and intense flavor. Loads of dark roasted malts, mild coffee, molasses, brown sugar, bittersweet chocolate and and bit of dried nuts at the finish. Noticeable alcohol presence and warming. Creamy smooth mouthfeel that makes it a pleasure to drink. Could have maybe layer in the bottle for a few more months (or years) to round out the edges a bit. A top notch imperial stout!

Brewskival 2017. Smak och doft av choklad, kaffe, vanilj, torv, marsipan, fudge, marshmallows med aningar av torv och brända toner. Tjock, krämig, rund och len, något kärv, fin sötma med en fin beska med smak av bitter mörkchoklad. Fantastiskt gott!

W aromacie wybijają się nuty czekolady, kawy, wanilii, owoców w czekoladzie, pralin, lekko palone. W smaku dość słodkie i całkiem goryczkowe nuty palone...balans zachowany dobrze. Finisz bardzo fajny deserowo-czekoladowy, kawowy, gorzkie praliny. Sporo ciała, treściwe i całkiem pijalne

I stort sett svart öl med ett kvardröjande ljusbrunt skum. Doft och smak av rostad malt, choklad, kaffe, trä och lätta toner av fatlagrad alkohol

Bomber, 2017 vintage. Rich roasted malt aroma with notes of dark chocolate, toffee and molasses. Pours inky black with a thin mocha brown head that has some retention and excellent lacing. Starts with rich roasted malt and toffee flavors with notes of molasses as well as nice, full body and viscous mouthfeel. Finishes very smooth with dark chocolate and molasses flavors with light espresso flavors. Fantastic Russian imperial stout.
