COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Russian Imperial Stout is dedicated to Gregory Zhukov. Arguably one of World War II’s finest generals and a man bold enough to appreciate the rich, complex flavors of a beer brewed to fortify a body through the Russian winter. Like military geniuses, Russian Imperial Stouts reach their peak with a little age on them, so we release Marshal Zhukov’s Russian Imperial Stout in sweltering August so that it will be at peak flavor come January or February. <P> Opaque black in color, the aroma has notes of espresso, chocolate, dark sweet toffee with hints of black strap molasses. The flavor starts with an unsweetened chocolate character and supporting notes of herbal dryness from English hop varietals. It then moves into dark toffee sweetness and closes with a slap of roasty espresso. Zhukov’s Imperial Stout pairs well with Mushroom Solyanka, dark chocolate, cherries and ground wars in Russia. Enjoy, comrade.

(on tap) Aroma: coffee, chocolate pralines, Appearance: black color, small dense dark-brown head. Taste: semi-sweet, flavour of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, burnt caramel, dark chocolate finish with note of liquorice. Palate: full body, thick oily texture, low to medium carbonation, Overall: Amazing balanced brew with great mouthfeel , This is a role model of the style.

Tap. Aroma - sweet, medium intense. A bit vanilla, roasted malt, coffee and cocoa. Taste is rather sweet, pralines, espresso, maybe some nuts, marzpian. Long sweet choclate finish, with some dark fruits and cofee. Medium body, but everything is well balanced and smooth.

UPDATED: NOV 11, 2017 22oz bottle. Very earthy, tree branchy aromas, char, stewed greens. Black with a lasting tan head. Dry, earthy, woodsy, veggie-ey. Full bodied.

Aromat: mocny, ciężki, słodki, intensywny, ciemne owoce, suszone śliwki, czekolada, praliny. Pachnie bardzo przyjemnie. Trochę nut kawowych i palonych zbożowych. Piwo dobrze wchodzi. Odczucie: pełne, wyklejające, gęste, gorzki i długi finisz Nie będzie pięciu punktów a zbyt mocną i długą popiołowość.

Dolciastra.

Not that bad very classic, old school russian imperial stout. Full of roasted malts, dark chocolate, some ashy profile, toffee, espresso-like notes, molasses. Body is full, texture is sticky and oily, carbonation is soft. Finish is bitter and long.
